Codie Sanchez says billionaires share one trait: delusional optimism. They quit stable jobs, believe they can build empires, and raise massive capital despite the odds. Without this unreasonable mindset, she argues, you lack the drive to reach that level of success.
Chapters
Codie, what have you noticed about billionaires? Every billionaire I've met has really had one thing in common, which is they're absolutely delusional. I have never met a reasonable person who rewrites history or makes 8 or 9 figures. Was it reasonable to quit my first job or to quit yours? No. Is it reasonable to think you could build a giant empire? No. Was it reasonable when we went and raised our first millions? No. It's not going to be smooth sailing. It's going to be miserable. Most billionaires are totally delusional about what it's going to actually take, and they do it anyway. And I think if you want to ever make your millions or you need to be delusional too, and if you're not, I love you, but you're just not gonna make it. You don't have what it takes. It takes unbelievable delusional optimism or absolutely nothing at all.
