Most entrepreneurs I get to meet are burnt out, and it's killing most of the decisions they make in their business. You've got to start to set boundaries because the more burnt out you are, the more emotional you are. And of course, very simply said, when emotion is high, intelligence is low. And then you start to make decisions around emotion that's not helping your business, or you keep saying yes to everything. When you actually learn this, you start to say no more frequently. No becomes a really important word in freeing up your calendar. Freeing up your time. There are people out there that have got used to coming to your office every single day, whether you're in an office or virtually, whatever it might be for you, that they come to you for every single decision. And of course, you answer them. You need to start to set boundaries. You need to give them autonomy. You need to give them some trust so they can make some of these decisions themselves, so it frees up your time. Otherwise, you'll meet some of these people, I call them energy vampires, but then eventually go home at night completely burnt out and you start to wonder why you even doing this. In fact, you start to think about maybe I should even just shut this company down because I just don't enjoy what I do every day. Go and spend some time in your business and ask yourself, what can I say no to this week, next week, the following week? It will free up my time, free up my energy, get my intelligence back on track, get my emotion down so that I can run a successful business. And grow this business to the next level. Because if you don't, your emotion will stay high, and guess what will happen? You will stay in the same place, if not worse off.
