Colin argues that profitable companies stay simple while most entrepreneurs add unnecessary complexity. He says stripping away excess processes and focusing on profit-driven metrics, not vanity metrics, is what actually scales a business.

The most profitable businesses in the world are painfully simple. And what I mean by this, and I want you to think this through, many business owners I get to meet will say to me, Colin, I need more data. I need more complexity. Show me more marketing techniques, more financial strategies. Show me so many different things. Here's the simple thing I want you to understand. Business is really easy. Humans make business so freaking complex that you end up in a place that you are chasing your tail every single day, and you're probably doing the wrong things that will never drive revenue, never drive profitability, never drive the systems that you're looking for. So after you've watched this video, I want you to go and look at what you're doing in your business. What have you overcomplicated? What systems have you put in place that you think are absolutely amazing? But guess what? They're not working for you. I actually find a lot of business owners measure the wrong things, and they think they're on track. But when they start to measure the right things, which creates simplicity, that's when things change for their business. I really encourage you, look at everything you've done in your business and simplify, take out the complexity, and go make serious profit.
