I spent time with Dr. John Gray, who wrote Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus, and he was nothing like I expected him to be. I got to sit down with him, chat with him. In fact, I got to join the Transformational Leadership Council that he was part of, and that's where I got to spend a lot of time with him. And you know what? He has every reason to be like this arrogant celebrity because he's a celebrity, definitely in the relationship space, and he knows what he's talking about. But you know what? He's the most down-to-earth guy I've ever met. I've watched him on stage. The way he behaves on stage influenced the way I behave on stage as well. And it really touched me deeply that a man who has so much influence, so much connection, so much reason to be arrogant in so many ways is not at all. He's just down to earth. He talks about sex sometimes like crazy. And I'm like, John, you're talking about some of the most personal topics for people sitting at the dinner table. For him, he's just who he is. He's just down to earth. He talks about sex because that's what he writes about, and that's what relationships often are surrounded by in terms of great relationships. And I think that's a surprise to me the most because he's just awesome. Like one of those guys I love spending more time with him because it's just not what you expect to get every time you get together with him.
