The toughest challenge I ever faced in business was around my 18-month-old daughter. And you might think, what has that got to do with business? I had my mining equipment company and I was traveling from Vancouver to Perth, Australia. I went through Singapore. I got to Singapore and there was something deep inside of me that said, phone home. I phoned home. My wife said to me, honey, our daughter, her name's Jade, who is now 22, at 18 months, she was lying in her bed, eyes open. And just lying there, my wife would lift her arm up and drop it down and would just flop to the bed as if she was dead. And I made the decision for that day, like, you know what, hun, I'll go to Perth. If it's really that bad, I'll come back home. I wish I never made that decision. It's one of the toughest decisions I ever made. I am super grateful that nothing happened to her, was just a temporary virus that she got or whatever. I don't think I would have been able to accept what I'd done if I'd gone to Perth, phoned home, and she'd passed away. I would have been absolutely devastated.
