Nobody really ever tells you what it feels like to rebuild your entire business when you turn 50. When COVID hit, I was just about to turn 50. I was 49 and a few days away from 50, and bang, COVID came down, and that was the end of a company doing $750,000 a month. I had to rebuild everything from the ground up, and that was one of the hardest things I've ever been through. And I want you to think about this for yourself. Life happens to all of us. It made me more resilient. I took 3 days off the minute that happened. The government made the decision to shut things down. I sat down and I said, how can I help more people? I went out and I did 10 weeks of 1-hour interviews every single day with celebrity people that I knew and just went out to help people and just gave and just gave. Instead of going internal and saying, poo woo, poor me, and being Eeyore and all that kind of stuff, I decided to be like, I need to step up, make a difference for everybody else. There must be so many other people feeling this stress. Guess what? This happens in business all the time. And I want to really support you on it to think you, as you go through things, things do take you out of the game. But guess what? It's how you get back on that horse. It's about being resilient because things do happen that are completely out of your control. But you know what? You've got to take control. Control of you, control of your energy to really get things up and step up to do things in a different way. In fact, COVID was the best gift that I ever was given in the last 5, 6 years. And by far the most important thing that got me on track to doing things differently and in a different way.
