Most business meetings waste time because they lack a clear agenda and defined outcome. Require organizers to share both 24-48 hours ahead, then skip any meeting that doesn't have them. This forces meetings to become shorter, focused, and actually productive.

Stop doing this in your business meetings because it's wasting your time and it's wasting your team time. And guess what? You probably think all your meetings are productive. Really important to understand. Go look at your calendar right now. Do you have meetings coming up? The most important thing for every meeting, have an agenda and have an outcome that you're looking for from every meeting. Whoever books the meeting, those are the two things they must have in order to make meetings productive. What it does allow people to do, because this is done 24, 48 hours, even longer before the meeting, is it allows them to prepare because they know what the agenda is and they know what the outcome is that is being looked, you know, what is being sought after. The most important thing for yourself, look at your calendar going forward this week. What's in your calendar? If there's a whole bunch of meetings with no agendas and no outcomes, write to the person that organized the meeting and tell them you're not coming to the meeting until you have an agenda and you have an outcome. It'll make your meetings shorter. You'll be more productive and you'll get so much more out of them. And guess what? You'll probably have fewer meetings.
