A man sold his businesses, got rich in his 40s, and became cruel to his wife and kids. Money didn't change him, the speaker says. It just amplified who he already was. Decide what kind of person you want to be before wealth gives you the power to become more of it.
Chapters
I watched a friend get extremely wealthy in his 40s, and it's incredible what happened to him. I want to share this with you because I think this will really help you understand a few things. He got extremely wealthy, sold his business, actually sold a couple of businesses, and then started to treat his family very differently, especially his wife. He was more rude to her. He was more ugly to her because he thought he could have anything he wanted now. In fact, eventually ended up getting divorced, and that led to a whole bunch of challenges with the children. And of course, he thought he could have anything. And of course, all he got was a bunch of gold diggers that sort of tried to shack up with him and what have you. So I really learned, and I want you to take away from this as well. Money makes you more of who you are. It only exaggerates. If you're an ass, it's going to make you more of an ass. If you're a good person, it's going to make you more of a good person. I want you to decide after you watch this video, what do you want to be? And don't tell me you don't want to be wealthy. It's okay being wealthy because wealthy allows you to do so many different things and it gives you so many more choices. The most important thing is always remember, decide what you want to be when you get uber wealthy financially and make sure you follow through with that and make sure that you're not exaggerating behaviors that you don't want to exaggerate.
