"Maybe do four, might be five" (Colin states he plans to share four, possibly five lessons).
Sprake here. I am super excited. I'm here at beautiful Necker Island. I want to share with you some of the key things. In fact, I want to get, maybe do four, might be five key things I've learned from Richard Branson while being on this most amazing island. Here's the thing. Let's get going with it immediately. So one of the things I learned from Richard is stay true to your core values. You know, as our students and the people watching this, that I am all about making sure you stay true to your core values. I watch Richard. He does things, and he doesn't care what other people think. He's all about living. Who cares? You all know that. That's my second nugget for you. Live who you are. Don't stop being who you are. So your business, in order to do your business, just continue to be who you are. If you love having fun, bring fun into your business. Do not be somebody that you think other people think you need to be in order to run your business effectively. Just stay true to who you are. When you live from your core of who you are, you get way more results. Another great thing I learned from Richard was he is a visionary. He's this great big picture thinker, the key nugget. I spoke to him last night just as we're going to dinner, and I said to him, richard, why do you think you are so successful? He says, colin, I'm the visionary. I then hire people, pay them well to execute my vision. I'm not the one sitting there doing all the bits and pieces, getting things to the next level. I said to him, well, Richard, what about small business owners? He says, colin, you got to do it until you have to. But thereafter, go out, find the right people, let them execute for you so you can go and be the visionary for the next idea within your business. And the one thing I loved about Richard last night was we were at dinner, we started having fun together. Next thing, here's Richard standing on the table, dancing, having fun with us and enjoying himself. That's because he remains who he is. He has not changed from the day he bought this island nearly 40 years ago to to who he is today. He loves to have fun. He loves to engage. He loves to be the visionary. And I want you all to think about this as you grow your businesses and as you head towards the top. See you at the top. Be brilliant, be amazing, and see you soon. Big hugs, big love from me. Ciao.
