The reason why so many entrepreneurs own a job and not a business is because they make the business about themselves. In fact, they become a prisoner to their business because without them, there is no business. Most of these guys that say, I'm owning a business, or ladies, they really don't own a business. They own self-employment, and self-employment gets them nowhere. And that's what always fascinates me, is how many people come to me and they go, Colin, I own a business. I'm like, no, you own a glorified job. At the end of the day, When people see that and they're like, what does owning a business mean? I says, when you can own a business that you can go away for 30, 60, 90 days and your business runs without you, that's a business. You go away and your business comes to a halt, or you go on vacation and your business goes on vacation with you, then you realize you don't have a business.
