In this instructional video, speaker Colin Sprake argues that a business’s existing customer database is an untapped "gold mine" for revenue growth. He explains that converting a stranger into a customer is roughly seven times harder than selling to an existing client, and therefore businesses should focus on re‑engaging their current customers. The speaker advises checking the database every three to six months and reaching out to each customer at least twice a year with genuine, non‑soliciting communication—sharing personal notes, asking how they are, and simply reconnecting. By avoiding direct sales pitches and building authentic relationships, he claims companies can double their revenue within 30‑90 days. The video emphasizes the importance of regular, sincere outreach and positions the existing customer list as the most efficient path to rapid growth.

How to double your revenue without doubling your workload. And this is fascinating for most people because guess what? You think, yo, you need to go find more customers. Right inside your phone right now is a gold mine. It's your existing customers that you need to follow up with to go and generate more business. I watch this frequently. It's 7 times more complicated and more difficult to sell a prospect into becoming a customer or a stranger into becoming a customer as opposed to selling to your existing customers right now. So I want you to think about this. When last were you in touch with all all your customers? Go back to your database, either in your phone or maybe on your computer. Look at your database, pull a list. Have you been in touch with all your customers in the last 3 to 6 months? If the answer is no, you have a gold mine because they are buying stuff that you actually offer. They don't know all your products or services. They are buying stuff from other vendors when they could be buying from you. They like you, but guess what? They don't know what you do in terms of everything that you do. There's one thing I want you to think about after this video. Go and introduce yourself to your customers at least twice a year. So pull that list, look at who the customers are on your list, reach out to them. Now you're not there to solicit when you reach out to them. You are there to let, you know, just connect with them. Maybe if you've got some personal notes about them around their family or what have you, just connect with them. Be genuine, be real, be vulnerable, and just say, hey, we haven't connected in a while. Just wanted to see how things are going. This is the work we did for you previously. At the end of the day, you're not asking immediately, hey, you want work for me? Or do you want to buy more product or whatever it might be? Be very careful of that. You're not there to solicit. Reach out, connect with them, genuinely connect with them, Because guess what? Inside your existing database is a gold mine. Or you can do it the hard way. Go and sell to strangers. It takes 7 times more effort to convert those people compared to selling to the people you already have and go double your revenues within 30, 60, or 90 days.
