Toxic people are the most important thing to get out of your life. Now, some people will say to me, but Colin, it's my wife, it's my husband, it's my family or what have you. I'm like, here, listen. Understand one thing. Toxic people are toxic people. I get to meet a lot of people like Colin. I've been with this person. I've been buddies with this guy since we were four years old together. I'm like, but there's a concrete block around your ankles holding you back. At the end of the day, you've got to decide for yourself, do I want these people in my life or do I not want them in my life? I'm a big fan of. Sometimes you just have to form distance between them. If it's a spouse, figure out how you can maybe go on counseling, maybe end up going to some program together that's going to uplift you both. But the biggest part for me when it comes to this kind of stuff around getting your head in the game is sometimes distancing yourself from family members. If it's friends, sometimes you have to do a friend aidectomy. You just have to say, you know what, it's time to move on from this person. This person is not raising me up. They're messing me up. And. And I don't want anyone to be messed up. The challenging part is take your advice from great people. And most of people are listening to people that will never get them to the level they want to get to.
