A client shares two years of coaching with Courtney Addy, who uses a values-first approach and a key question to start each session: "What do you need to leave with that you do not have right now?" The client credits Courtney's corporate marketing background for accelerating results and says the work pays tenfold for those willing to go deep.

I was in transition. I was facing a decision between paths, and I really wanted to ground that decision in conviction. I think we've worked together now over 2 years. What I was actually drawn to Courtney for was that she had experience in my industry. She'd been a corporate professional in marketing, so that gave us a shorthand it really activated the speediness with which we could go through thresholds. I think she pulls little tricks out of a bag that are perfect for what you need in that moment. And you didn't know that there were this many places you could go in a conversation and that there were this many tools available to you to help you get from one threshold to another. The frameworks that have really resonated with me, first of all, just starting with your values. I think that's one of the most foundational things that I've done with her. It allows you to have a reinforced conviction when something is a yes or something is a no. I think the firmness in her approach puts agency on you. She always starts the session with, what do you need to leave with that you do not have right now? And that is on you to come with. And there's no world in which she would let you skate by there. So she really holds you to account account so that you can activate your own agency and how you are spending your time with her. It's your investment, and she's honoring that by putting the accountability on you to get what you need out of the time together. I think in order to be successful in coaching with Courtney, you have to have a willingness to go deep and a willingness to do the work, and you will be rewarded tenfold.
