A short YouTube podcast excerpt (speaker: SPEAKER A / Dakota Malone) about social sustainability and social impact work. The speaker recounts helping a housing authority secure a 50% discount on electricity costs—saving them hundreds of thousands of dollars at no cost—and emphasizes supporting nonprofits, caregivers for vulnerable populations, and bringing equity into planning and programs.

Helped the housing authority claim a 50% discount on their electricity costs, which ended up saving them hundreds of thousands of dollars, and it didn't cost them anything. And so I look at social sustainability through the lens of, like, okay, how can we help and make a positive impact on the nonprofits, the people taking care of the vulnerable, you know, parts of our society and really bringing equity into the conversation.
