A brief YouTube micro-tutorial (hosts: Caitlin Sarian and Ashish) giving three core cloud-security recommendations: (1) enable auditing/visibility for cloud accounts, (2) manage identity and access (use MFA and strong passwords), and (3) correctly configure cloud-hosted resources to avoid breaches caused by misconfiguration. The clip ends with a follow/share call-to-action.
Cloud Security 101 how to stay Safe in the Cloud hi, I'm Caitlin. I'm a cybersecurity and data protection expert and I'm pairing up with Ashish, a cloud security expert who will help us understand all about the cloud. Let's go Cloud.
Security 101 I would say the easiest way to start doing cloud security is to make sure you can audit everything that's going on in your cloud account. You have your identity and access management. Basically, people like you and I who have user accounts in the cloud, make sure you have MFA on it, strong password on it. You're managing them appropriately. Third, but probably also the most important one is that if you have any resources that are hosted in cloud, make sure you have a way to configure them in a way that you want them to be safe. Because most of the times that you hear about data breaches is because the resources have been misconfigured. Hope this was helpful.
