Caitlin Sarian walks through opting out of PeopleSmart, a data broker that sells your personal information. Visit the site, click "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" in the footer, search by name and location, find your entry, and confirm the opt-out via email. She also mentions DeleteMe as a paid option for ongoing removal and monitoring.
So here's how to delete all your data from the Internet. Part 20 hi, I'm Caitlin. I'm a cyber security data protection expert and I want to help you delete your data online. Let's go. First things first, you have to delete the data at the source, which is the data brokers. Now, there are again thousands of data brokers. So we are going through this data broker today.
You're going to go to peoplesmart.com, scroll all the way down and click do not Sell my personal information. Then you're going to press do not sell my info. Put your first and last name as well as your city and your state.
Be sure to share this with a friend.
Then you type in the company you work for as well as your most recent job title and press search. Then the search results will come up, find yourself and press Opt out. Then type in your email to send a verification to make sure you are who you say you are. I will use a temporary email.
Now, like I said at the beginning of the video, there are thousands of data brokers and I don't have time to delete it from every single source. So I partnered with a company called Delete Me. They helped me delete my data and they delete it and review it every two months. So if you're interested, comment, delete me and I'll send you the link like and follow.
