Let's go. HealthEC provides health management services to 17 health care companies in southeastern Michigan. On December 22nd, the firm disclosed that they suffered a data breach between July 14th and the 23rd, which resulted in unauthorized access.
At the time of the cyber attack, healthec didn't actually specify how many people were impacted. Then, earlier today, a new listing appeared on the breach portal of the U.S. department of Health and Human Services, and it showed 4.452 million people were affected by this breach.
