Short YouTube video by Caitlin Sarian (cybersecurity/data protection expert) advising dating-app users how to check for catfishing by using a face-search website (PimEyes). The transcript shows a brief instruction to upload clear face photos to the site, which will scan the Internet for matching images and link to their source, and includes repeated prompts to like and share.
If you're on a dating app and you haven't used this website to make sure that you're not getting catfished, you're doing it wrong. Hi, I'm Caitlin. I'm a cybersecurity and data protection expert. I want to help you stay safe while using dating apps. Let's go.
Go to pim eyes.com and upload the photos of your potential date. Make sure there are clear shots of their face.
Be sure to like this and share this with a friend who uses dating apps.
Once the photos are uploaded, the website will scan the Internet for all images of that face. You can even click on a specific image and it will take you to the website it is found on.
Be sure to share this with a friend who uses a dating app.
