The excerpt focuses on passwords: do not reuse passwords across platforms; use a password manager or a long memorable passphrase; data breaches are common and exposed passwords are quickly exploited; simple character tweaks (adding 1, !, 123) are often trivial for attackers.

But what are some, like, basic tips for someone like myself who does knows nothing about cybersecurity? Like, things that every single person should be doing?
Passwords. And I know I hate saying that. I, like, want to hit my head on the wall every time I say passwords because it's, like, so annoying to say, but it's really true. Like, don't reuse passwords across platforms. Like, use a password manager if you can. Or a passphrase. Like, people don't realize you can use a passphrase. So, like, passphrase is just basically, like a long sentence. It's long enough for hackers to not get it, but you'll remember it once there's a data breach, which data breaches happen all the time. And you don't realize also that you sign up for so many accounts that like. And you're reusing the same passwords that your password is probably out there. And all hackers have to do when they find your password on the Dark Web is there's, like, a scan that they can do. Well, they'll run, like, tens of thousands of different variations of your old password with that username. Yeah. And it happens in, like, minutes. Add like, a 1 or an exclamation or like a 1, 2, 3. It's very obvious for hackers. Like, figure it out.
