A short YouTube tutorial by cybersecurity expert Caitlin Sarian explaining that blacking out personal info in screenshots is insufficient. She demonstrates how to reveal hidden text by editing image settings (exposure, brilliance, highlights, shadows, contrast) and encourages viewers to request a step-by-step guide, follow for tips, and share the video.
Exposure 100, Brilliance 100, Highlights 100, Shadows 100, Contrast −100.
If you're one of those people that takes screenshots and then blacks out your personal information and then sends it, you're doing it wrong. People are still able to see what you black out on the screenshots. Hi, I'm Caitlin. I'm a cyber security data protection expert. I want to help you protect your data online. Let's go. Here's how to see what's underneath a blacked out screenshot.
All you have to do is go to the blacked out photo, press edit at the bottom, turn exposure to 100, brilliance to 100, highlights to 100, shadows to 100 and contrast to minus 100. Then voila, you can see what's on the text.
Also, if this was too fast for you, comment screenshot below and I will send you a step by step guide on how you can do it and follow for more cybersecurity tips. And be sure to share this with a friend because so many of us do this and think it's safe.
