A short YouTube tutorial by Caitlin Sarian (cybersecurity/data protection expert) demonstrating how simple image-edit adjustments can reveal text hidden by black boxes in screenshots. The video gives explicit image-edit settings (exposure, brilliance, highlights, shadows, contrast) to undo blacked-out regions, warns that common redaction-by-blacking-out is ineffective, and urges viewers to request a step-by-step guide, follow for tips, and share the warning.

If you're one of those people that takes screenshots and then blacks out your personal information and then sends it, you're doing it wrong. People are still able to see what you black out on the screenshots. Hi, I'm Caitlin. I'm a cyber security data protection expert. I want to help you protect your data online. Let's go. Here's how to see what's underneath a blacked out screenshot.
All you have to do is go to the blacked out photo, press edit at the bottom, turn exposure to 100, brilliance to 100, highlights to 100, shadows to 100 and contrast to minus 100. Then voila, you can see what's on the text.
Also, if this was too fast for you, comment screenshot below and I will send you a step by step guide on how you can do it and follow for more cybersecurity tips. And be sure to share this with a friend because so many of us do this and think it's safe.
