Extortion is the newest cyber scam that is happening right now. It's been happening to millions of people, and here's what's happening. Hi, I'm Caitlin. I'm a cybersecurity and data protection expert, and I want to help you not get scammed. Let's go. So many people are getting an email with their full name and their full address. And in this email, then there's a PDF. In the PDF, it shows the address, it shows a picture of where they live, and then it says that these people have installed a spyware on their device, and in order to get it off, they're going to have to pay. This is fake. Do not send any money. All of this information can actually be found on public websites. This is why it's so important to decrease and protect your digital footprint. And that's what my page and videos are all about. And since spooky season is upon us and Cybersecurity Awareness Month, I've decided to do a spooky cyber series where I'm going to be going through the most popular cyber scams and how you can address them and stop them. So definitely be sure to follow along and share this with a friend.
