A short YouTube clip by Caitlin Sarian warning iPhone and iPad users to install a recent Apple security update. The video explains that Apple disclosed and patched two serious exploits (one documented by Citizen Lab) which can remotely spy on devices without any user click — an attacker need only send a message. The host then gives step-by-step instructions to update iOS (Settings → Software Update → Download & Install) and recommends enabling automatic updates.

If you have an iPhone or iPad, you need to update it right now. Hi, I'm Kaylin. I'm a cybersecurity and data protection expert and I want to help you stay safe online. Let's go. This week Apple disclosed and patched two security exploits and they were big ones. Now, I know a lot of people believe that Apple puts out shoddy updates right before they release a new phone, clearly with the battery gate settlement. But this is not the case. Citizen Lab found that an Apple exploit used in the wild can compromise. Watch, see and hear. Basically spy through your Apple device. And the exploit doesn't even require you to click on anything. All the attacker has to do is just send a message. Before we continue, make sure to follow along for all the cyber security news, tips and tricks and share this with a friend. Now, most people have the updates automatically installed, but if you don't, here's how to do it. You're going to go to your iPhone settings and then press Software Update. If you see a new update waiting for you with the version 16, tap the download and Install button. Also, in the future, turn on the automatic updates. If you don't see an update, you're not.
