Body doubling, community, and playful accountability help manage daily chaos. Working alongside someone keeps you focused. A shared space where people admit lapses like skipping breakfast without judgment. Meme reminders turn guilt into collective humor and motivation.
How do you deal with the chaos? How do you deal with it, Danielle?
So for me, body doubling. Body doubling is it. If you've ever seen me talk about anything, I have 3 things that always help: body doubling, community, and accountability. And not accountability like somebody telling me, well, you forgot to do XYZ. Somebody sending me a meme reminding me to eat lunch. Somebody, somebody joked, they're like, oh man, I freaking forgot to eat breakfast this morning. And I went, damn it, I didn't eat breakfast this morning. And, and it's not accountability in the fact that it makes me feel guilty. It's accountability in we're sharing each other's lives so much that we're going to find something that reminds us to take action in our way for the thing.
And how many times do you get that meme? You're like, oh crap, I didn't do that. And then you start laughing because you're not the only one that's dealing with it or the only one that had that issue. And it's so nice to be able to be in a community where if you say something like, oh, I forgot breakfast, you're not going to hear them go shame, shame, shame. You're going to hear them go, oh yeah, I did too. Well, let's go eat something. I'm body doubling.
