Danny Walsh walks through connecting your domain to ClickFunnels 2.0 via the dashboard. The domain-connect wizard handles DNS setup automatically, no coding required, and takes about 30 to 60 minutes to propagate.
Hey, it's Danny Walsh. And in this video, very quickly, I'm going to attempt to add a domain name to ClickFunnels 2.0, right? So we've come into the dashboard, and in the dashboard we're going to go to sites and funnels, and then down the side we go to domains. And it's pretty simple so far, right? So if you want to connect your own domain name to clickfunnels 2.0 to overwrite the subdomain that clickfunnels give you, which is super important, this is where you need to go, right? So you're going to connect an existing domain and you need to put it in with triple W or the subdomain. And in this case, I'm using DannyWalsh VIP and we're going to press Continue. And then this thing comes up, I'm going to press Add domain. And unlike ClickFunnels1, we don't need to do anything like cold or technical or hire a developer. I've just gone to this other page, pressed the Add Domain button, and you can see here this little wizard pops up. You press continue. This is like the coolest thing ever. Remember Cloudflare and having to connect domains and delete records and change all of this, like a record and cname record and all of this stuff. I register my domains with 1 and 1, so I'm just going to click here and it's going to do its thing. We're going to authorize with one on one and then you press. When you get to your domain connect for your provider, you press Connect in order to apply. These settings will disable current services connected to your domain and remove conflict and DNS records. Connect, that's fine. And it's connected successfully to ClickFunnels, right? And it's probably going to take an hour or so to do, and that's sending me back to ClickFunnels. My domain name's connected and I didn't even need to hire a developer. And we're like 2 minutes, 3 seconds, and I've been talking, so press done. And now it's showing me that we're set up in progress. And this thing's spinning around. And Todd and Russell and the guys at ClickFunnels are geniuses because that process normally would take 35, 40 minutes and then backwards and forwards, pressing refresh and waiting for ages for Cloudflare to get set up. And you had to set up, like, redirect rules and a big bunch of crazy stuff. I think that's just all been done automatically. I am going to press check for connection just because I like to see how quick things work. It's not quite there yet, but obviously you've changed things that your domain name provider and these things do take half an hour or so to filter through. Right. So once you've done that and you think, hey, my domain's connected, you can come back in into your domains and you will see that it's there. You'll see when you added it and you'll see the status. Right. So at this point it's still trying to make the connection. And what we'll do is we'll monitor this and if there are any problems, you can reach out for clickfunnel support, which has now appeared in the Corner or of 2.0 or we can just go back and check. We've made sure we've, we've got the domain registered. It's not a brand new domain, it's not something that you registered five minutes ago. Just be patient. I can't see this taking too long. And you can keep refreshing the page, but that's the first time I've done this. Hopefully this helps. Hopefully this, like, gets rid of all of the fear about connecting your domain name to clickFunnels 2.0. That just seemed too good to be true.
