Are you sure you were actually called to lead?

In this motivational talk, the speaker challenges listeners to examine whether they truly feel called by God to lead. He notes that leaders often experience seasons of fatigue, unclear direction, or stalled vision. When a leader lacks a clear vision from the outset, the speaker advises pausing to reflect on the divine calling. He argues that without a compelling vision, an organization cannot succeed because its members will drift apart. To illustrate this, he uses an old‑cowboy metaphor: horses (or mules) attached to a wagon by a single harness must move together; if one pulls away, the others are forced off course. Similarly, a leader’s vision binds the team, ensuring everyone pulls in the same direction and works harder to move the organization forward.
