September 1st, I put a pistol in my mouth, pulled the trigger 8 times, and the gun went off the 9th time in one of my best friend's hands. 26 days later, I ended up in a federal holding cell, and, and, and, uh, the judge said, God's got this. And I pretty much just looked at him and I said, how the hell does God got this? Like, $75,000 cash bond. Hell, I ain't even got 7 cents to my name. How am I going to bond out of here? I called Dad, and Dad, Dad said, son, I love you, but good luck. He said, I'm done. Yeah. And I mean, it was tough love, and I know it broke his heart. And I walked back in that jail cell, and it was pretty much like, you ask, you receive. I was, I was done doing dope. I was, I wanted help, but I didn't. I couldn't, I couldn't figure out how the hell to get out of where I was at, you know what I'm saying? And so it was one of them deals where, uh, man, uh, I went and got a court-appointed lawyer. My dad told me he, you know, figure it out. So I went to figuring it out, and, um, and, and then it— so I got a court-appointed lawyer, got the chance to go to Teen Challenge, got out of Teen Challenge. They, they dropped my charges, dropped my arrest record. So God really did have it, you know, and from that first time. And it was, um, so, so that, that was kind of the, the, the whole deal.
