the secret to content creation I wish I knew sooner (start now)

In this video the speaker argues that the current era is the optimal moment for entrepreneurs, business owners, and creators to fully embrace video and social media. He explains how platforms have shifted from follower‑based feeds to "interest media" algorithms that surface content based on user interests, dramatically increasing the odds of virality for even small accounts. He outlines the strategic advantage of short‑form and long‑form video, the cost‑effectiveness of organic reach versus paid ads, and how AI tools now enable a single hour of recording to be repurposed into dozens of clips, email copy, and even an ebook. The speaker addresses common limiting beliefs—perceived saturation, lack of time, and uncertainty about what to say—offering practical workarounds such as raw, unedited content and daily filming habits. He provides a decision‑making framework for viewers to assess whether they should commit to video, and concludes with multiple calls to action: direct messages, links to a 5‑day "Build with Video" challenge, and consulting/production services focused on West Texas businesses. Throughout, he balances acknowledgment of social media’s negative aspects with a hopeful, empowering message to be a positive light online.

Today we're going to be talking about why now is the best time in human history to go all in on video, to go all in on social. And there's a lot of negativity that goes on on social and there's a lot of bad things, but there is also a lot of great things that you can use social media for. And one of those things is building a personal brand, building a business. Another thing is, for example, for the church, you can spread the word like never before. And that's been a conversation that's come up multiple times. It's like, should we push social media? Is social media bad to be on? Should I take a break from social? Like, these are real questions that people ask. And, and I just want to encourage you, be the light on social media through all the darkness. Be the light. Bring value, bring positivity, bring entertainment that make people's lives better. There was recently a shooting, an assassination on a guy named Charlie Kirk. And if you are on the internet at all, You've probably heard about this, and it's just brought a lot of dark things to the internet. This is an example of something that I don't necessarily think is a good idea. It's not good for us to be seeing this kind of stuff. It's not good for us to be posting this kind of stuff. And the fact that something like this happens and the whole world has a front row seat to what happened makes me really sad and makes me think about, like, What is social media's use for? What— how can we prevent something like this in the future? There need to be guidelines, like, all within the confines of the free speech. And so that's a whole other tangent, but that's an example of a bad thing. And there's lots of good things, and that's what we're gonna be talking about today, is why now is the best time to go all in on social media, especially if you're a business owner. And social media has changed and evolved massively over the last few years. We've seen it go from 2017 where Instagram was just a photo platform and you treat it like an email list and all your followers saw your stuff. Nobody outside of your followers could see your posts really. The algorithm would not feed it. To now, after TikTok came along, after YouTube has developed into what it is now, The whole landscape has changed, and I wanted to talk about it and, and why this could be a benefit to you, the average person just like you and me. We no longer need a million subscribers to reach millions of people. Gary Vee said it best: this is no longer social media, it is interest media. What does this mean to you and I? It means that the algorithms on social media are feeding people what they're interested in more than who they're subscribed to. And this is very true. If you ever go to your TikTok feed or your Instagram Reels feed or even your YouTube homepage, it knows exactly what type of content you like to watch. And their goal is to keep you watching as long as possible as a social media platform. So if you can flip it and be like, okay, I'm, I'm going to be a creator and not just a consumer. That's whenever you can start taking advantage of this stuff and really blowing up your brand and, and having that mindset of I'm going to make content that's valuable for the viewer in exchange for their attention and their time to build trust with me. And so the rules have completely changed. And if you don't adapt now, there's AI coming in, there's all these other tools coming in and new platforms and you have to adapt if you're going to stay relevant on social media, and that's where everybody is living. There are billions of people, billions with a B, who are on social every single month, like TikTok and YouTube. And so really think about that, that stat right there, and how many people are there. If you're, if you're not going to where the people are, then you're not going anywhere. Um, so there is a huge opportunity. For example, on TikTok, uh, and, and honestly all the platforms now, you can go viral. You have the highest odds of going viral right now than ever before in history. You have never had a better chance, especially if you have a small account. If you have a normal size following, an average size following, the next video that you post has a huge chance of going viral. If you do it right. And if you research like we teach all of our clients to do, then that goes up even more. And we've done it time and time again. We'll find an idea that works and we'll try it out on our own page in our own situation. And it performs because we're not remaking this stuff. We're not reinventing the wheel. So short-form video is huge, especially if you have no following. Long-form video is huge as well. You can start to build trust with your audiences. And now that YouTube, for example, is pushing out your content to people who are interested in your content, if you like watching business stuff, you're probably going to get pushed more business stuff. And so now is the best time to get in because you can go viral and you can reach people that you've never been able to reach before. AI and these platforms, these tools to help you make content. Make it easier than ever before. There has never been a time where you could, you could pump out 50 pieces of content from sitting down for 1 hour and, and you can just repurpose this one video. And that's what I'm going to do with this video. I'm going to go and take this and throw it into Opus Clips or whatever platform you want to use for AI editing. It's going to give me 30 short-form clips ready to post for TikTok and Instagram that have captions, that's cut. Everything's ready to go. And then I'm going to also take the transcript of this video. I'm going to go write an email blast campaign, taking the good nuggets from this topic of the video, and it's going to write it exactly how I would sound. Then I'm going to go write an ebook. I'm going to put all this information into an ebook, and the way that I talk, the words and tone that I use, it'll know from the transcript. And all of a sudden, I took that 1-hour video and turned it into 40 to 50 pieces of content. And so you have never been able to do that as a one-man show. You would've been able to pull it off back in the day, 5, 6 years ago. Yeah, that's back in the day now with how fast things are moving. You would've had to have a team of 10 people. You'd have to have editors, you'd have to have designers, copywriters, all these people on your team. And that's a massive overhead. So it wasn't very accessible and we're going to see it become even more accessible. As time goes on, especially with AI making such a drastic change in this world. And so the next thing, we went through a phase of social media where everything had to be hyper-edited. Now that has changed and people are starting to respect and respond more to raw content. So some people have completely built their whole careers on without a single edit in their videos. Like they'll go live. They'll just vlog and they won't cut anything out. They'll just put the clips together and post it on social and it'll go viral. People want to hang out with you. They want to, they want to be in the same room as you. They want to experience what you're experiencing in real time. And that builds a lot of trust and connection. It's like they're hanging out with a friend. And so attention is cheaper than ads. That's my next point. You don't have to spend near as much on advertisements anymore. Because the way that the platforms push it now, organic content always performs better if you know what you're doing and you research. And it also provides people who are genuinely interested in what you have to say. If you just blast out an ad in your local town, you may get one or two hits, but the amount that you're having to spend now to get those hits and get those people who are interested, you're having to pay a lot more. And so why not make something very intentional for your ideal client that's going to take you an hour that you could sit down with your iPhone right now and make and reach your ideal client for absolutely for free? Social media is free. Sometimes they even pay you to make the content. There's never been another time in history where a platform pays you to market your own company. I have multiple friends who are YouTubers and influencers, and one of them brings in $40,000 to $50,000 a month from his YouTube business, and he just posts YouTube videos. And so like, this is— he is getting paid $40,000 to $50,000 a year to build his brand. He has no clients. It's mind-blowing to me. So, so let's keep going. Some questions and hesitations that you may have Whenever thinking about this and talking about this is it's too saturated. That is not very true because the amount of people that can actually stay consistent and build something for longer than a month is very, very low. There is hardly any competition whenever you're actually being consistent and showing up. There's some people who have cornered the entire market of their niche on the internet. And so they're getting all of the business there. I listened to an accountant recently who sells his tax strategy services and he has cornered the entire market on YouTube. And you may have heard of him, but there's no other person who is putting out more content than that guy. And he is getting all of the leads and all of the business. And so go and look if you're in a niche or industry that you don't see a lot of people doing online, then you may want to pay attention and you may want to go all in because there's a massive, massive hole in the market right there. And I'm a big fan of finding those things. Another limiting belief is I don't have time. Again, I just broke this down. Repurposing your content is huge. And so for business owners, and I know this because I am a business owner, Your time is very, very valuable. And you don't want to have to spend 10, 20 hours making content. So what are we going to do? I'll fix it in the next 45 seconds. You're going to film 2 YouTube videos that are 20 minutes long each. And you're going to not edit them. You're just going to either go live and post it or just post it like a normal video. Make a quick thumbnail. Put a good title. And then you're going to go and repurpose that using AI. You have content now for the next 2 weeks and you've only spent an hour to an hour and a half of creating. So this is huge. Like, if you can't set aside an hour and you can't bake it into your schedule and be very intentional about it, then I would argue that you don't care enough about your business or your clients to do this thing. It's just becoming a part of life and a part of business that people have always had a marketing person to do, and there is still a place for that, but it's not— it doesn't look the same anymore. The last limiting belief that we get a lot is, I don't even know what to say on camera. That's okay. You don't have to know what to say at all times whenever talking to the camera. You can film your life. You can film what you do every single day, but throw a mic on and see what happens. People who aren't in your industry see what you're doing behind the scenes and they're like, whoa, that's kind of interesting. If I was a, or I do know chiropractors who do this, but if I'm a video guy and I'm in the video business, but I have no idea what a dentist does on a daily basis. I think it'd be kind of cool to follow along behind the scenes, just seeing what they do. Like, what kind of clients do they encounter? What kind of things do they have to deal with throughout the day? This is the type of content you don't have to think about it. You're not making the content at this point. You are being the content. Shout out to Omar El Takrori for that quote. But just be the content. You don't have to overthink it. If you want to go faceless, you can go faceless. Just take clips throughout the day and do a voiceover and add music. And there's your concept for the day. Don't overthink it. Like you don't have to know what to say at all times. There are times and places like whenever you're doing a talking head video or a podcast, you do have to talk, but there are ways to do it without having to do all of that. And so a few questions I want you to ask yourself. This is the decision framework. Do I want to grow faster than my competition? Am I willing to be consistent for 90 days? I would say longer even. Do I care about building trust with future customers? If the answer is yes, then I would highly encourage you to, to explore the idea of going all in on video because there are a lot of businesses, including ours, who rely only on content. Majority of the time, organic content, just like you're watching. If you're watching this today, this is part— this is very intentional. This is a part of our marketing strategy. And so I just happened to put out a lot more than everybody else around West Texas about this specific topic. And so people see us and they're like, man, I didn't even know this thing existed. So if you answered yes, you need to be making content and posting like ASAP. If you need help, by the way, just send me a DM or click one of the links in the description. If the answer is no to any of those questions, then be ready to watch your competitors. win all of the attention that you want to have. And so it's like a race. It really is a race, especially if you're a local business that can only service local people and no other company is putting this type of stuff out. Then you are leaving, I might even say, millions of dollars in revenue on the table if you're not doing this because there's no competition in this case. But if you wait and you don't do it, somebody eventually is going to pick it up. And start doing it and get all of the attention, then they're going to have a whole entire monopoly online and people are only going to see them and they're only going to know about them. So they're the person that they're going to use. So anyways, that was a little bit of a rant today, but I hope this brought some sort of value to you. And I don't want you to see this as a threat to society. I don't want you to see social media as like a bad thing, although it can be used for bad things, but that's with everything. You could drink too much water and it could be a bad thing. Like, we need water to live, but if you have too much, you know, it can be bad. And so it's just a new landscape of doing things, and it's a new landscape for social, and it's a new opportunity for you to take advantage of, specifically if you're a business owner or entrepreneur. And so businesses, if you're not investing in this stuff, um, let me know. I would love to talk to you about it. We help with the strategy consulting. We partner with people. We We even, uh, film the videos. We have a video production side where we actually film the videos for you. We have a studio. We can go to you, whatever it is. But let me know in the comment section down below what you want to learn about next. Have you started a podcast? Have you started making content? And that's what I am absolutely obsessed about. I put together a 5-day Build with Video Challenge. And so if you're an entrepreneur or a business owner who is interested in this video stuff and this content stuff and you don't know where to start, but you know it's valuable, there's going to be a link in the description that is specifically to sign up and apply for this challenge.
