Yo, Insiders Group, welcome to the live stream today. A little bit different, um, we're going live in the morning. I hope you're having a wonderful morning. It's currently 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time here in the United States. Um, let me know where you guys are watching from. I want to know. This, this live stream is to connect, to help you guys out with your content plan. For 2025, no matter the niche, no matter the business, you have full access to me for the next 10 to 15 minutes and we're going to be spitting game. We're going to be hanging out and I'm going to give you the best advice that I possibly could give you. And we have clients who pay us some good money for this advice, so take advantage of it. That's why it's a good thing to be in the Insiders group. So let me know, where are you watching from? Do you have your coffee with you? And what questions do you have? We're just going to talk briefly about your content plan for 2025, what that needs to look like, where things are going. Is TikTok actually banned? For good. And I might pull up some articles here in a minute and see what the media is saying. But first of all, TikTok, that was crazy. The day before the inauguration, just freaking gone, done, done skis. And you saw it, they even name-dropped in the app whenever you open it up And it even mentions Trump's— Trump's name, which was honestly kind of crazy to me. But TikTok, it was down for, I believe it was about 12 hours, and then it came back, which was the craziest thing I've ever seen. Now there's talks of people like Elon Musk or MrBeast going to buy TikTok. This is the era that we live in. It is insane. TikTok literally changed the whole world, and all of the platforms now are following suit of what TikTok is doing. So you, you're going to have to adapt. And TikTok only came around in 2020, right? So you're going to have to adapt. You're going to have to realize what is happening and utilize it, or else you're going to get left behind. And so it doesn't matter the niche, it doesn't matter what type of business, like if you're not making content, then you're falling behind. And it doesn't have to be perfect content either. Like just getting out there and just posting, just post, make your first post. If you've never made a YouTube video, make your first one because nobody's gonna see it anyways. So it doesn't even have to be good. You just gotta start building that. Rapport with the platform, and it goes with all the platforms. Like, if you're posting every single day at the same exact time, and say it's on Instagram, the, the algorithm is going to reward that, and it's going to push your stuff because it knows you're going to show up. It knows you're going to provide value. It knows people are going to be sharing your stuff. And so once you build a good rapport with these platforms, the more you'll get rewarded. And how do you do that? You just got to show up. You just have to show up. And I know it can be difficult, so don't set unrealistic goals at the beginning. Like, don't— it's the same thing with working out. If you go from not working out at all to working out 7 days a week cold turkey, it's not going to go well. You're not going to keep it up and you're not going to want to keep doing it because it sucks and you haven't built up to it. Same thing with the fast. If you've ever fasted before, food or whatever it is, if you just stop cold turkey and if you try to do a 40-day fast right off the bat without ever doing one before, it's not going to go well. We've had people in our lives who end up going to the hospital because they didn't work their way up. And so it's the same thing with content. Like, just get started because that's the hardest part, and then all the insecurities all the things that you think people are going to say about you, you're going to see that they more than likely won't say it. And if they do, it's usually people who have nothing else better to do than to be commenting on people's YouTube videos. I have haters on my YouTube channel and I only have 1,200 subscribers. Haters like they do not like me. For some reason I made them mad whenever I was talking about my camera. They didn't like the advice I was giving, they didn't like what I was wearing, like something, the way I explained it, I didn't go into enough depth. And I'm just like, dude, if you have enough time to be sitting there commenting on some guy's video that has like not even 10,000 views— honestly, some of these videos don't even have 1,000 views and these guys are commenting telling us how bad we are, how much we don't know. And I'm like, bruh. And then I look at his channel, he's never done anything. That person more than likely has zero experience in front of a camera, zero experience with content, and they're trying to tell us what to do. Anyways, that was my morning rant with my morning coffee provided by Espresso. Shout out to Espresso. Carly Cooper, if you need coffee If you need a mobile coffee service, a truck, a, a cart, whatever, indoor, outdoor, she's your girl. Make sure to give her a follow and tell her Darren sent you. You might get a discount. Might get a discount. But we're just hanging out. It's cold here in the studio. It's very cold here. All this brick, so the only drywall is this wall right here. The rest of the studio is brick, and brick, brick does not insulate the best. Let's just say that it does not insulate the best, so it's very cold in here and I have a jacket on. Still cold. But your content plan for 2025, if you're watching this after the live stream, let me know in the comments what your plans are for 2025. And feel free to reach out for advice on this group. I've, I've seen some posts. It's been pretty active recently and I love to see it. That's why I created it. So there's a community where not only me, but the whole team and other creators all have a place to go and learn, go and get feedback, et cetera, in order to grow their brands, grow their business. Through content online. And Facebook groups was just the easiest one to access that everybody has. And so I was like, why not? Let's start a freaking group and let's go after this thing. Let's help people. I went and did a training not that long ago at a real estate brokerage, and this was one of the first trainings I had actually done over social media. And I built this amazing, immaculate presentation with the most interesting facts that I could find, with the most advanced things for algorithms that you could possibly need. And guess what? I didn't really get to teach any of it because half of the room didn't even have Instagram downloaded. They didn't even know what Instagram was, really. And we're talking to a bunch of top-producing real estate agents here. And so that's how far behind Abilene is. And that's where I'm trying to take Abilene forward to the next level. And not everybody in this group is from Abilene, but that's how it is in our local market. And if you go down the street to Dallas, Texas, then it's, it's like 5 to 10 years ahead of where we are. It's, it's insane. So I was at that training and I started going through all these slides and everything, and they were like, hold on, how do you post to Instagram? I was like, okay, let's back up. Let's, um, slow down a bit because I was about to get into the algorithms and tagging and geotagging and SEO and all this stuff. But then I forgot that not everybody grew up on these platforms. And I was like, okay, let's step back. Let's go to the beginning. What is Instagram? Um, who is Meta? What are analytics? How do you post? What is a trending audio? And from that day forward was the day that I decided to make this group in order to help people and teach people. And we've done a lot of livestreams so far. And so if you've hopped on to the previous ones, thanks for joining. If you're watching this one, thanks for joining. But that was a little backstory to why we actually started it because people need to learn about this stuff and they're, they don't even know how to post on Instagram, post on YouTube. Like 9 times out of 10, they've never posted on YouTube in their whole life. And so I'm trying to change that, but for your business, for your niche, your content plan, that's what we're here for. That's what I'm here to discuss. And it's just very simple, like, goals that I want to set for you that are not too crazy. They're not unrealistic. And hopefully everybody can do it. And so one of the first things, let's cover Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. One of the first things that I want to challenge you to do, if you're watching this for 2025, is to post at least 3 times a week on Instagram. Now, 3 days out of the 7 days of the week, it's attainable. Even if it's a very basic, simple post, it's attainable. And so make sure whenever you're posting, it can be day-in-the-life videos, it can be POV videos, which is point of view, it can be behind-the-scenes videos, it can be videos of you talking to clients, live conversations, something crazy that happened. If you're a real estate agent and you found squatters, like, video it. That's content. Everything is content. And so, for example, and that goes for all the platforms, for example, this last week Howdy Media got a call— I got a call from a guy in South Carolina named Steve. Steve was also the owner of Howdy Media in South Carolina. And anyways, he goes on this rant, this phone call, and he was like basically threatening to sue me if I didn't change my name. And so we go on this phone call and I asked him like, when did you trademark it? What all these things? And he was like, oh, I filed it recently. Well, turns out I got a lawyer and he filed it like 3 days 3 days ago, like literally the day before he called, he filed. And so anyways, right off the bat, my entire team, I was telling them about it and Mike was like, bro, that's a YouTube video. I was like, bro, you freaking dang right it is. That's a YouTube video. That's been multiple Instagram posts, that especially on my story. Everything is content. A normal person who is not used to doing content is just experiencing these crazy things day to day, these things that are unhinged. If you walk into a house with squatters and you don't have a GoPro on, or you're not filming with your phone, then you're missing out on content. As much as the situation sucks or it's like confusing, or you don't know what's going to happen, like that just makes it more interesting for the viewer because ultimately you're making content for the consumers. This is no longer pre-2020 social media where everybody was using all the platforms as another form of an email list where you basically just update people touch base with people. Now TikTok has changed the game and people want to see other stuff. They've targeted it towards the consumers. So as long as you're creating stuff that the consumers want to see, you're going to win on social media right now. That's how it is right now. I can't promise you it's going to be like that in the next 3 to 5 years, but I can guarantee you it is going in the direction of video and video content more than anything else. Pretty sure like 85% of the content that people consume daily are videos. And like I said, this is because of TikTok. And so if you're still posting Canva graphics, Canva throw up, I'm very— I say this in the most polite way, but stop, stop posting the Canva throw up. It doesn't get likes and you've seen it. You know what I'm talking about. If you post that stuff, you know exactly what I'm talking about. It doesn't get any engagement. It doesn't get any likes, post Instagram Reels. The algorithm rewards people who post videos and Reels. So 3 times to wrap all that up, 3 times you need to be posting on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. And a lot of times you can post the same thing on all the platforms. And so if you see something on TikTok, this is how I want you to think about it. If you see something on TikTok that's trending, Instagram is like the older brother. It kind of just like, it catches up maybe a few days later. If there's a trend on TikTok, in 3 to 4 days it's going to be trending on Instagram. If you can get ahead of that trend curve— and I'm not saying to post everything with about trends, like I'm not saying to trend surf your entire account because your credibility kind of, it can kind of diminish after time. But in order, at the beginning especially, to gain those views, the attention, the following up front, you're gonna have to do some sort of trend surfing because nobody knows who you are. Nobody's searching you up. That's just the fact of life. Like, unless you're Ariana Grande, like, nobody's searching you up. Like, you have to be well known already. That's why they have all the followers. But there's that. So use the trends on TikTok, bring it over to Instagram, and then you're going to be ahead of the curve by the time it gets to Instagram. And then you're going to be way ahead of the curve on Facebook because Facebook takes like 10 days to 15 days to catch up to what is going on on TikTok. If you see something on Facebook, it more than likely happened about a week ago. On the other platforms. And so 3 posts per week on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Make sure you do that and you're gonna see results quicker than what you see already. So, um, if you know what a story post is, you can post these on Instagram, I believe on TikTok and Facebook as well. Make sure to post at least 2 to 3 stories per day. Now this doesn't have to be complicated either. It, it needs to be straight up like a selfie or like BTS photo or something like driving to work or getting a drink from Starbucks. Like literally anything to keep people engaged because it's kind of like an email list. So like every time you post a story, your name goes to the front of the list on Instagram. It goes to the front of the list and people see your name every single day if you're posting stories. Now, the, the regular feed, the post feed, not everybody sees it because there's so many posts going up at the same time. If somebody logs on Instagram one time a day, they might not see your reel, but if you're posting the stories, it goes to the front of the line. That's the first thing that they see. And so try to post one in the morning, try to post one at lunch, try to post one at, in the evening, and then rinse and repeat and do the same thing the next day. Also, there's a lot of, uh, tools and engagement activities that you can put on the stories. Like, uh, you could always add captions. First of all, you could do votes, you can do polls, you could do Q&As, like all of these things to keep your audience engaged. And the more engaged you can get them, the more trust that they'll build with you and the more likely that they'll buy whatever it is you have to sell at one point. So 3 posts, 3 stories. This is obtainable, folks. Like I said, it is not crazy. Um, once you get this figured out and once you get in the habit, then I need you to up this stuff. But for the beginning, just start here. Just start here. So on top of that, if you have a slot in your week where a livestream is possible, which livestreams are the lowest barrier of entry into content creation, which is what I'm doing right now. Also, if you're seeing this on YouTube after, make sure to join the Insiders Group if you find this valuable. Um, link in the description, but go live because live streams show your true self. They show that you're a true professional in your field because guess what? There's no cutting. It's just you and the camera talking. And so you're delivering valuable content in a way that is smooth, that is easy to understand without the need of editing. And that builds trust right there because that's just how you are. Like, this is just me in real life doing my thing, talking about what I love to do and helping people. There's no cuts, there's no fancy editing. Um, I'm using a, a, a livestream platform that you— it is free. I pay for paid version, but it is free if you want it to be free. But try to at least do one live, and, and you could even just do it on your phone. Like, it doesn't have to be crazy. Like, Go to Facebook, hit go live, put a topic in there. If there's an event that goes on, like Inauguration Day, like watch the Inauguration Day with me, and you can comment over the inauguration, whatever is going on in your industry. If there's a new camera, like I can go live when that camera drops and people are gonna see it and join because they wanna know my thoughts. So try to go live at least once a week or once every other week because it builds a trust and you get to talk directly to your audience. And in these livestreams in the Insiders Group, I've got to have incredible conversations and incredible questions come my way because I just go live. And I haven't been able to do a livestream in the last 2 weeks, which, that's on me. But that's why I wanted to go live today because I know how important it is. And even though it's not like the perfect time, I wouldn't say 10:00 AM is the perfect time. I definitely know it's not, but I'm getting it in. And guess what I'm gonna do with this video after? I'm gonna go put it onto YouTube tomorrow. That way people can see it and I can repurpose this content. So that covers one of your next challenges, which is to post 2 YouTube videos. A month. Let's start with a month. I had a week, but that's a lot. To a month. So 2 YouTube videos per month. That can be a podcast, that can be a live stream. The video I'm making right now, this is a— this counts as a video. You can go live on YouTube, and there's a lot of people who just do live content because they don't want to edit and do all those things, which is honestly the fastest way to make content. If you just do your thing like normal, turn on a camera, hit go live, hit end whenever you're done, and then that's it. So try to go live, try to make at least 2 YouTube videos per month. That's my challenge to you, the Insiders Group, if you're watching this. If you're already doing this, if you're already putting out stuff, I know there's some of you that put out a lot of content. Try to dial in the content that works the best for you and double down on that content. So if the videos that do good are review videos, if you review like house products, if those are getting triple the amount of views that your vlogs are getting, double down on the reviews and stop doing vlogs. Now this is gonna take trial and error and a bunch of testing, which is why you just gotta be posting in the beginning to know what the people want to see from you, because they will tell you. It will be very evident. But if you have any questions on this stuff, feel free to DM me on Instagram or leave a comment on this video. Whatever it is, I'll try to get back to you, or our team will get back to you. Um, but yeah, just get started. That's my challenge for you, especially with it being January, the first month of the year. Try to just get started. And if you stay consistent with this, if you stay consistent with your content, with your spiritual life, and you try to bear fruit from these things, and you tell the Lord about it and ask for advice, and he's the one giving you the discernment and wisdom to go and do these things, then any— literally, I think it's in Ecclesiastes, it says if you do it for the will of God, then it will be successful. Now, success doesn't always mean what we think it means. It's not necessarily a worldly success, but it will be successful and bear fruit in the end and further the kingdom of God and your purpose for life. So that was very deep to end the live stream, but, um, stay consistent, man. You guys got this. If you ever have any questions, like I said, DM me, send me a text, whatever it is, and I'll do my best to answer and help you guys out. Um, real quick, we have a couple spots open in our, um, coaching program. If you are a creative, if you're a business owner wanting to level up your brand, your content online, um, specifically through video, we focus a lot on video and doing the YouTube thing. If you wanna learn about it, if you wanna figure out how to do it, yourself, um, there's going to be a link in the description. We can set up a call, and I want to kind of get to know you and get to know your goals before we go ahead and onboard you. So anyways, that was real quick, little plug there. But I hope you guys have a wonderful Wednesday. Um, stay warm out there, folks. Stay warm. We'll see you guys in the next one.
