This is a YouTube video titled "Content is king, but design and experience is queen" featuring Dave Gerhardt speaking about the importance of design and user experience alongside content quality, emphasizing modern web design standards in 2024. The content is a monologue or talk rather than a multi-speaker conversation.
Content is king, but design and experience is queen. I mean there's just no doubt about that. You know, if you walk into a store and then the store is a mess, they might have good product but you're so focused on the mess that you're not paying attention to the product. And so you want to do the same thing with your landing pages where I've said this before, you could have like a Google Doc and it would just have the right kind of information and someone would be happy with that. But you still want to kind of put your like Sunday clothes on or whatever. You know, you want to dress your best. And I think now in 2024 you kind of don't have an excuse not to have just a nice one page website. I mean you can go to like CARRD and just build one for like 15 bucks or free. Actually there's no excuse for that. So there were a couple of them where I'm like it's giving 1995 vibes and they knew it.
