Two marketers debate how to compete when AI handles basic content creation. They argue that standing out now requires specialized expertise, deep data analysis, and personalized approaches that automation alone can't replicate.
The next five years in marketing are going to change more than like the last 25 have because of AI. And I totally believe that. But I still don't think that the things you mentioned, it's interesting to hear $100 million company go back to basics. Everybody can do that now, right? We can all just write like shitty emails and shitty content and send it out and it's just not going to work anymore.
Exactly. But I think some of these more automated, personalized orchestration, bringing in intent data, bringing in other signals and thinking about it from a more holistic, you know, almost like more of a marketing mindse than just, hey, you need a person that's going to go look through lists, they're going to copy and paste data that are going to write manual things. You're almost doing a better job of bringing in specialized expertise than just throwing humans to run tasks.
