Ask your customers where they already spend time online: their favorite blogs, podcasts, social media platforms, and influencers. Market where they're already looking instead of guessing which channels work.
Community marketing is like, let's build a relationship with our customers. Then they'll deploy that voice to the spaces. The idea of an influence map, it kind of builds on what Ross is saying. Okay, we want to distribute our brand. We want to take one piece of content and separate it across a million things. But, like, where are those spaces? And like marketers, we love to make everything way more complicated than needs to be. The easiest way to find out where to market is always just to ask, hey, where do I market? What's influencing you? So what I would suggest is if you want to truly understand, like, what groups do I go into? You survey your customers. What blogs are you listening to? What podcasts are you interested in? What social media platforms are you in? Who do you respect the most on social? What events are you attending? You build this list from your close one, your close lost your prospects, and they'll literally give you a blueprint of where to market.
