I'm really good about not letting feelings come through if they're not helpful. And Dave is saying, well, by not letting it come through, you're really resisting it more than you realize. And so last night before going to sleep, Olivia says to me, I'm really nervous about our kids' schools. I don't know where we're going to send them. There are not a lot of great schools in Austin, all that. And all I want to do is shut it out, listen to a podcast or something, or YouTube, and just like I said, no, I'm gonna be with this. And then I know what happens. I then go into YouTube to try to like reset my brain, to shift this topic outta my mind.
And then it's like 20 minutes in. To withdraw or avoid or just generally not have to deal with it.
And I said, okay, this is my opportunity to practice what Dave and I were talking about. So I stop, I go, yeah, it is kind of scary that we don't know where to send the kids to school here. Like, what's next? And she just stopped talking about it afterwards. I went back to whatever I was doing, and within 4 minutes I was asleep. It has been fan-frickin'-tastic. And one other little side thing, this is not what we're working on, me and Dave, but I don't have my phone by my bed. And this is such a little thing. Here's the thing that he showed me. And if you would tell me, Jesse, if someone would tell me without the relationship that we've had, I would've said, I'm not paying attention to this.
