The Greatest Strength of Top Entrepreneurs #entrepreneur #startups #company

You may be surprised to learn that this is the greatest strength of some of the top entrepreneurs I work with: kindness. The reason kindness is such a strength is that leaders need to be able to tell the hard truths to their people. They need to be able to give direct feedback. And if your people don't feel your heart, your love, your care for them, they're not going to be able to hear that direct feedback. They're just going to hear it as if you're the boss trying to get more out of them. As opposed to another human being who cares and invested in their success, trying to help them thrive. Caring personally gives you the permission to give the hard feedback when you need to. And being kind, it's almost like it gives you credits in the bank when you need to ask your team for more. In the book Radical Candor, they talk about the importance of both caring personally and being able to challenge directly. And so it's that kindness, that feeling of caring personally about people that gives you the permission to challenge people directly. So don't believe anyone that tells you that kindness is weakness.
