If I could leave CEOs and founders with one piece of advice, it would be pay attention to your state. Every client that I work with, CEOs of billion-dollar companies, what they've learned that makes the difference is to notice moment to moment whether they're operating from a state of threat or operating from a state of presence. And when they're in threat, they end up motivating their team from a place of fear and lack and actually stifling creativity, stifling performance. When they're in presence, they point to the future they want, they energize people, people are inspired, and they end up bringing out the best in their people. So that would be the one thing I'd say, pay attention to your state, notice moment to moment whether you're in threat or if you're showing up in presence.
