David Oualaalou analyzes a Houthi drone strike on Najran, Saudi Arabia, alongside a maritime blockade and attacks on Aramco facilities in Jizan and Yanbu. He frames these as escalating strikes by Iran-aligned proxies and examines potential triggers for Saudi or U.S. retaliation and impacts on Gulf energy markets.

Hello everyone and welcome to Geopolitical Trends, where truth matters. Uh, Ansarullah or Houthi's drone just hit a sensitive target inside Saudi Arabia, and what you have now, operations there are suspended, flights are suspended, and even unknown, and Riyadh hasn't confirmed a word of it. I've spent years tracking exactly this kind of strikes from inside Washington, and here is what most coverage is going to miss about this particular incident. This isn't really about targeting an airport or what have you. Remember, Najran sits right on the Yemeni border, and Ansarullah say this was a retaliation for the Saudi drone flights over Sa'dah and Hajjah. That's the stated reason. But look at the timing. This lands right after Ansarullah declared a maritime blockade on Saudi Arabia, and right after they hit Aramco oil facilities in Jizan and Yanbu less than 2 weeks ago. I did, by the way, an analysis about this video. You can go and check it out. What I need to tell you is this isn't an isolated incident. It's a pattern, and the pattern is escalating. Here is the part that should worry you if you are an energy or Gulf energy market investor. Every one of these strikes tests now how far Iran proxies can push before Saudi Arabia or Washington decides Enough is enough, if ever. So far, the answer keeps being a little further. So I will be doing, by the way, a deep dive tomorrow into this topic on a livestream. If you can join me, that would be great. And since I've spent time on both Saudi Arabia and Yemen, so make sure to join me and don't forget to subscribe for more in-depth analysis. As always, remember, geopolitics impacts your daily life in more ways than one. Till next time, bye-bye.
