A short YouTube talk by David Sidoni addressing first-time home buyers. He exposes common industry practices where experienced agents delegate first-time clients to inexperienced 'buyer specialists' or lead-generation staff, leaving novices to train on these buyers. The video offers candid advice to first-time buyers to seek agents who will personally prioritize them and to research the individual agent rather than a team brand.

Now look, not all of them think that you suck and not all of them suck, but a heck of a lot of them do. And that's why I'm here today. If you're a first time home buyer, the good real estate agents, the experienced real estate agents, they think that you suck. Their time, their energy, and truth be told, they think that you're just not worth it. I've been doing this 13 years now, and right about two weeks ago, I decided it was time for me to start talking directly to you. I've done transactions with 76 first time home buyers, and right now every time I talk to them, they're a like, wow, I wish someone like you had talked to me. Because you're feeling it. If you go out there right now and you talk to a real estate agent and say, I'm ready to buy in a couple years, guess what? They're gonna think that you suck and they're not gonna talk to you. Here's a little story to help explain to you how things really work. Today. You're gonna get some of the dirty little secrets of the real estate industry. And my old brokerage, which I quit a couple weeks ago because I decided it's time to talk to you directly. I there's a dude, young guy, millennial, comes in every day, slaps on a headset and starts making phone calls with a robocall thing on his laptop. And what he's doing is calling people that are maybe thinking about buying or selling a home. Mostly the sellers, because that's what the real estate industry wants, right? And then he calls from 9 to 12, talks to them about the market and gets information. Then on the weekend, two open houses, Saturday and Sunday, talks to coming in, gives them information. Well, to protect his innocence, I'll change his name. Let's call him Steve. You want to know the dirty little secret about Steve? Steve doesn't buy or sell real estate. In fact, Steve hates people. He told me that himself. He hates people. So you a first time buyer out there trying to get information about how to buy and sell a home. Guess what? There are teams of the top agents that have dudes and ladies out there that are trying to get you in and suck you into their team with a guy that doesn't know anything about real estate. And then what happens is you do a little research because he Says, hey, great, well come on over to the team. This is big agent Carly or big agent Christopher. Right? Well now you go, oh, cool, they're a big agent. And then the big agent says, great, thanks for coming to me. Hey, I'm too busy to work with you. You're a first time home buyer, but you can work with one of my buyer specialists, which is real estate code for I don't know crap and haven't sold very many homes at all. That's the truth. If you Google someone, don't Google the team, don't Google the brand name, Google the person who's actually going to be getting you in their car and showing you homes. That person is probably a rookie. Because the dirty little secret about the real estate industry is they don't give a damn about the first time buyers. In most places, you're not getting experienced service, you're getting rookies, you're getting a novice. And you know what's the even worse part about it? The big agent, they're sending you down to their rookies and you end up training those rookies for the big agent. It's their second or third deal. You're the training for the big agent. Heck, they should be paying you for training their rookie. That's the biggest secret that you don't know. And why am I telling you this? Because I'm sick and tired of this crap happening all over the country. If you're in Southern California, awesome, call me. If you're someplace else cool, get out there and make sure that you're talking to somebody who really gives a damn about a first time buyer. That's the biggest dirty little secret in real estate.
