Hello again. This is Dr. Dawn with Delta Janitorial Systems Incorporated. Here at Delta Janitorial Systems, we use the smart cleaning system, which is a very efficient and systemized approach to cleaning. All personnel are trained in the smart cleaning system, which includes training on the use of tools, products and cleaning processes. The training is very thorough. One of the very important parts of the training includes training cleaning personnel and what they should should not do. Without being very specific about what's not acceptable, cleaning personnel can make some really bad judgment calls. Here's what we call the Big 7. Violating any of the Big 7 leads to immediate termination without a warning or a second chance. In this video, I'm going to talk about the first three don'ts in the Big Seven in the following segments. I'll cover the remaining four. The first item on the Big Seven list is thermostats. We teach our personnel that most businesses adjust their thermostats when they leave each evening in order to save money. They become very upset if they come in Monday morning and find the air conditioner was left on 50 degrees all weekend by the cleaning company. Under no circumstances should cleaning personnel adjust the thermostat unless they're specifically instructed by the client. The next item is office equipment. We teach our personnel that our clients have spent money on equipment and supplies that help them run their business. The cost of maintaining these items can be very expensive. If the copy machine breaks while they're making just one cop, the cost of the repair will be charged to them. The copy machines, typewriters, computers, etc. Are not there for their use.
Now, number three of the big seven is a big one that's gotten many janitorial services fired. That is children. We love them. But our personnel should never bring children to work, regardless of the circumstances. Even the most well behaved children can get into mischief. Although they may see clients bringing their children in on the weekends, this does not mean that our cleaning personnel can bring theirs. We teach our cleaning personnel that though they have a child who is of legal working age and they are seeking employment, they should see their supervisor to submit an application. And of course, pets should always be left at home, no matter the circumstance.
