Dennis Prager says he tries to promote goodness but gets surprising amounts of hatred anyway. He argues this proves goodness can't actually work without God as its foundation.

I'm always touched when somebody will come over to me, which is pretty often. In the old days, you know, when people used to congregate at restaurants, for example, and they'd come over and say, "Ah, you know, I just want you to know I really love you, Dennis." But I'm sure you hear that all the time, and of course I always have my usual response: "Look up Dennis Prager and a-hole, you'll get 50,000 hits." I am hardly a saint, but I am certainly not a big sinner, and I do try to foster goodness in this world, and it is amazing how much hatred that gets. It really is. I mean, it's— I am a very interesting yardstick in that regard. It's just, it's just, I look at it from outside myself. Anyway, that's what God wants. It's a good one. And good without God doesn't work either. See you tomorrow, y'all. Take care of yourself.
