In this monologue, the speaker, a supporter of Pete Hegseth, argues that Hegseth is not a rapist despite media reports alleging he attacked a woman in 2017. The speaker claims the media is biased and attempting to sabotage Hegseth’s political prospects, and urges listeners to read the police report linked by The Federalist. According to the speaker, the incident occurred at a Republican women’s conference in California where Hegseth was heavily intoxicated. The speaker asserts that the woman was the aggressor, that she invited Hegseth to her room while her husband was elsewhere, and that a pool attendant observed the woman holding a drunk Hegseth. The speaker does not condone any behavior but maintains that no rape occurred.

I want to speak about Pete Hegseth. Listen, I love Pete Hegseth as the Secretary of War, all right, or Secretary of Defense. I, I hope he's able to get through, uh, and there's no doubt in my mind that the media is going to try— they already have, they're trying to attack him, they're trying to make sure that he doesn't get in. Listen, I don't think any of, any of us can say with a clear conscience we don't like some of the things that we're hearing about Pete Hegseth. Uh, he's not a rapist as far as that particular story that that the media is trying to run with and saying he attacked some lady. I heard today, oh, she said he attacked her. Guys, read the police report. I didn't read all of it, but I just read some of it. The Federalist has a link to it. All right, but saying he closed the door, he did. No, the lady was actually the aggressor. This is a little disgusting, but I mean, this is— I'm just going to give you the synopsis. All right, so in this particular story, this happened in 2017. Apparently he was speaking at some type of, uh, Republican, uh, uh, a conference in front of a, uh, I believe a women's Republican group, if I'm not mistaken, in California. He was at a, at a hotel, uh, where it was— he got basically— the guy got drunk, all right? And one of the ladies there, um, one of the ladies there actually took advantage of him being drunk. He ended up inviting her back to his place Her husband, her husband was down the hallway in another hotel room. She was texting, uh, or she texted later and lied to her husband that she had fallen asleep somewhere. The pool guy, the guy taking care of the pool at the hotel, said when he saw Pete Hegseth and the woman, she was holding him by the back because she was coherent and he was drunk as a skunk. I, I mean, I'm not condoning anything. I'm just saying he didn't rape anybody.
