Decent people have a very hard time reconciling themselves with indecency. That— it's been a big problem in all of my life. It's been a big problem since humanity began. But all of my life I have recognized that this is a problem. I remember when I debated, or I spoke at a church This has got to be 40 years ago, about the Soviet Union. And a woman got up, a nice church lady, said, I've been to the Soviet Union. A Soviet mother loves her children like an American mother does. And that was it. That's all she needed to know. Therefore, why are we talking about communism being evil? When a mother in the Soviet Union loves her child as much as a mother in Michigan loves her child, she didn't want to recognize that that's irrelevant to the point.
