In this brief segment from Dennis Prager’s show, host Dennis Prager asks guest Sebastian Gorka when Speaker Nancy Pelosi will fulfill what he calls a constitutional duty to initiate an impeachment vote against President Donald Trump. Gorka argues that impeachment is unlikely because it would require at least 30 House Democrats—who represent districts that elected Trump—to vote for removal, which he views as politically suicidal. He suggests that Pelosi’s actions amount to a “feigned” impeachment process lacking the required roll‑call vote, and that she appears scared. Gorka also references a letter from the president’s counsel to Pelosi as a strong jurisprudential argument. The segment ends with a promotional plug for PragerU’s ad‑free listening service.
Hi, this is Dennis Prager, and this is what you missed yesterday on the show. I don't normally ask people what they think will happen because predictions— well, I certainly don't make predictions. Having said that, I want to ask you, at what point will Nancy Pelosi do what the Constitution requires? And if there is an impeachment, there has to be a vote. What do you think will happen in that regard?
I actually differ from— we were on stage together and all four of us were asked in Pasadena whether impeachment will occur. And remember, you, Mark, and Larry, you know, Mark Levin and Larry agreed that it will happen. I said I don't think it's going to happen. Fascinating. Because if it does, you have to have 30 Democrats vote to impeach the most successful president since Ronald Reagan, who are sitting in districts that that president won. The idea that 30 Democrats are going to collectively commit political suicide just because the Squad wants to impeach Donald Trump, I think that the selfish ego of the independent politician, it negates that. But Nancy has surrendered. But at the same time, look, there is a reason I read the letter from the president's counsel on air yesterday to Nancy Pelosi. It is a marvel of jurisprudential argument. The idea that you are feigning an impeachment proceeding without having the required roll call vote that every single impeachment proceeding has had in the past means that she's already scared.
