But he reposted this: Kick these fascists out of DC, January 6th, 2021. Dump Trump for good. Location: Washington Monument, 11 AM on the 6th. Then he reposted this, and I'm editing it. F the system! Time to burn it all down! #BLM, #Antifa, #FtheSystem, #AbolishCapitalism, #AbolishThePolice, #FTrump. Now the last little wrinkle in all of this And you can see this. His face has been identified from video inside the storming of Congress.
Not only is his face completely And you're listening to the Dennis Prager Show. I, I'm going to be very open with you. I'm always open with you, but even more so right this moment. When I was listening to McClintock and Jordan, two congressmen and the rational and powerful talk that they gave about this anti-American farce of an impeachment of a president the week before he's leaving office. I got strength from listening to them. And then I thought, I wonder if I, not wonder, I'm certain that I provide that service to many of you. It gave me a way of looking outside myself to hear what these people had to say and the effect that it had on me. You're living at a time, and it's very easy to be seduced when, when all around you 2 and 2 is 5. It's, it's very, it's very powerful to hear someone forcefully, rationally, calmly say, no, no, no, it's always been 4 and it remains 4. 2 and 2 is 4. The United States is not a racist cesspool. All whites are not racist. There was 1,000 times more violence from the left than from the right in the past year. These are just basic truths, and we are bathing in the lies. Is there a Republican congressman speaking this moment? All right, Matt Gaetz. Bless you. Wow.
Burned police stations, burned our businesses, were shattered, and they said nothing. Or they cheerlead for it and they fundraise for it and they allowed it to happen in the greatest country in the world. Now, some have cited, some have cited the metaphor that the president lit the flame. Well, they lit actual flames, actual fires, and we put them out.
Time expired.
There will be order in the House.
I yield back.
The gentleman from Ohio, do you wish to reserve your time? That was exactly right. Fraud. It's just all a fraud. Decline. The decline of the Democratic Party into demagoguery and lying. Leftism. Wow, that's, that's what it is. It's important that you know that because it's fewer and fewer places allow these things to be said. Cumulus has already told its hosts what to say. That's an amazing thing. I wonder if they're— if they're obeying. Wow, it's gotten that far. Talk show hosts being told that they can't speak their minds. Yes, indeed. All right, everybody, let me take some calls here. Candace in Los Angeles, California. Hello.
Hello, Mr. Prager. I am the one who, uh, introduced you and Rabbi Boteach a few years back at NESA.
Oh yes, I have a fond spot for you. Yes, hi.
Okay, Mr. Prager, quick question. Um, my husband and I are deeply rooted in Los Angeles. All our family's here. Uh, he has his, um, he's a physician, he has his practice. I'm a piano teacher. I have my students. Our whole family's here. And I am so upset with politics in California that I just want to pick up and move to Florida, but I don't know if it's the right decision. And I wanted to know your input.
Except for the friends and relatives, of course it's the right decision. The left has done to California what it did to universities and to the arts and to basketball and football. It ruins everything it touches. I never thought California could be ruined, and they have done it. Fecal matter. You have to step over human feces in San Francisco. They're a tsunami of destruction that people vote Democrat. Is, uh, is astonishing to me. Anyway, uh, I am the exact same position you are. I, I have— I don't have family here, that's, that's true.
Okay.
But I do have a world here. It's, it's not— I mean, everyone, just about everyone in my life other than my kids and their families is here. And, uh, it's very, very hard to leave. I, I would love to leave, to be honest. And ultimately we may be forced, but you're young. I don't know. I don't have an answer for you because of the relatives and friends question. Now you, you obviously you'll, you'll make new friends in Florida, although that's just an odd way to regard friends. You're, you know, you're no friend is substitutable. So, uh, but I mean, you can maintain contact, but it's not the same as being there. I don't know. So I, I can't answer you. I, I will only ask you one thing. You're— I didn't know you were a piano teacher.
Uh-huh. Yeah, I'm a piano teacher.
So are you— so you're into music?
I am, and I love— and I enjoy your, um, I love your taste in music, and I know you love classical music and your music buff, so I've always liked that about you.
Yes. Well, I, I think one day I have a question, Mr.
Prager. Do you see a brighter future in Florida than California?
Yes, if they keep electing Republicans. I was just there. Read my column, The Sovietization of California, what it felt like last month to fly from Florida to California. It was the first time since I moved here in 1976 that I rued coming back to California. Newsom and the Democrats have continued to ruin it. It was the freedom I felt in Florida. I stood up in a restaurant in Florida, in Fort Lauderdale. I stood up in a restaurant and I took a picture of people eating inside the restaurant. So I was recognized by somebody who was dining there. He came over to me, said, oh, so you're taking a picture of people eating inside a restaurant, eh? He knew exactly what I was doing. He knew who I was, knew I lived in California, that this was something to bring back, a souvenir of Florida. People could eat, could eat out, could eat inside a restaurant. I went on Fox News. I was on Fox Sunday. I meant to play that for you. I was on Fox and Friends Sunday. I was on Fox the week before. And I had mentioned my— I'd asked my question: why can you eat without a mask 2 inches from someone on an airplane, you can't eat without a mask 6 feet from someone in a restaurant? We all know the reason has nothing to do with health. It's because the Democrats don't give a damn about small businesses, but they do give a damn about American, Delta, and United. We'll be back.
Turning now to the Charlie Kirk Show.
I was watching a certain Congressman who I won't name, a former congressman who 5 or 6 times on television right now, he just said, I'm so surprised to see this. I'm so stunned to see this. You can be saddened to see it like I am, but if you're surprised that you're seeing this, then you have done an awful job governing and legislating. This should not be a surprise to anyone that actually understands what is happening in this country. And this is beyond politics at this moment. This is beyond Republican and Democrat. This is a multi-institutional problem that is happening in America. So I want to get into this as we lead. We're waiting for the president of the Senate, the vice president, to reconvene the session. As we promised you, we're going to be covering this live tonight, and we covered it all throughout the day. What drove those people to scale the walls of Congress today, of which I don't support? But why did they do that? The sloppy and the lazy analysis that is being given is because President Trump told them to do that. That's wrong. That's not true. First of all, he didn't tell them to do that. But that is a— that's a simpleton argument. They did that because they don't trust their system. That's why I just heard Jonathan Turley on Fox News, who I think is a very smart guy. And he said, how could these people not trust their system? What's gotten into them? What's gotten into them? They watch the news.

And the president is addicted to social media and to television and to division. And he's been lying to the American people for 8 straight weeks and planned it long before. No matter what was happening in any state, he was going to say the election was being stolen and the people needed to rise up. So, Senator, he said repeatedly to go wild when you get to the Capitol. And they went to the Capitol and someone— well, let's be clear here. There are 30,000 people here. The vast majority of them are honorable, freedom-loving people, the vast majority of them, but not all of them.
Do you think he intended for the riot and the occupation, the insurrection to happen?
I think Donald Trump wanted there to be massive division, and he was telling people there was a path by which he was going to stay in office after January 20th. That was never true. And he wanted chaos on television. I don't have any idea what was in his heart about what he wanted to happen once they were in the Capitol. But he wanted there to be chaos. And I'm sure you've also had conversations with other senior White House officials, as I have.
I have.
As this was unfolding on television, Donald Trump was walking around the White House confused about why other people on his team weren't as excited as he was. As you had rioters pushing against Capitol Police trying to get into the building.
That said, should he be impeached and removed?
I think that there are a lot of questions that we need to get to the bottom of about why the National Guard was not deployed. I want to understand more about why the National Guard wasn't deployed when there had been clear calls for it, and then why that delay happened. So there, there are more things that I need to understand before I get to a conclusive judgment about that. But I think that the question of was the president derelict in his duty, that's not an open question. He was.

I watch a lot of CNN and MSNBC, so you don't have to. I got the scars to prove it. Let me tell you something. Trump talked about the rally. He wanted people to come to DC. Nobody said, uh-oh, 5 people are going to be killed because these guys are going to assault the Capitol building.
Oh my goodness.
Nobody said that. The most severe, pathological, hateful Trump hater.
Hi everybody, you're listening to The Dennis Prager Show. Yes, indeed. It's quite remarkable, isn't it? I want to play you— these were really great. Let's see here, play a little of the Jim Jordan. I think you all need to hear it. It bolsters your resolve to hear the truth from these congressmen.
Ohio is recognized.
Madam Speaker, I yield myself such time as I may consume.
The gentleman's recognized.
Thank you, Madam Speaker. 19 minutes. 19 minutes, 4 years ago on Inauguration Day, January 20th, 2017, 19 minutes into President Trump's administration at 12:19 PM, the Washington Post headline was, campaign to impeach President Trump has begun. And now with just one week left, they're still trying. In 7 days, there will be a peaceful transfer of power, just like there has been every other time in our country. But Democrats are going to impeach President Trump again. This doesn't unite the country. There's no way this helps the nation deal with the tragic and terrible events of last week that we all condemn. And Republicans have been consistent. We've condemned all the violence all the time. We condemned it last summer. We condemned it last week. We should be focused on bringing the nation together. Instead, Democrats are going to impeach the president for a second time. One week, one week before he leaves office. Why? Why? Politics and the fact that they want to cancel the president. The president who cut taxes, the president who reduced regulations, the president prior to COVID had the greatest economy, lowest unemployment in 50 years. The president who got us out of the Iran deal, put the embassy in Jerusalem, brought hostages home from North Korea. Put 3 great justices on the Supreme Court, gave us a new NAFTA agreement, the Abraham Accords, the COVID vaccine, and who built the wall. It's about politics. This is about getting the president of the United States. They spied on his campaign before he was elected. 19 minutes into his presidency, they started the impeachment push. 3-year Mueller investigation, 19 lawyers, 40 agents, 500 witnesses, 2,500 subpoenas. $40 million to find nothing. Impeachment round one based on an anonymous whistleblower with no firsthand knowledge who was biased against the president and who worked for Joe Biden. And now it's impeachment round two. It's always been about getting the president no matter what. It's an obsession, an obsession that has now broadened. It's not just about impeachment anymore. It's about canceling, as I've said, canceling the president and anyone that disagrees with them. The Ayatollah can tweet, the president can't. Democrats can object on January 6th, 2017, but Republicans aren't allowed to object on January 6th, 2021. Democrats say Antifa is a myth. Republicans condemn all violence all the time. The double standard has to stop.
That was a good one. And frankly, the attack on the First Amendment has to stop. That's right.
Stop and think about it. Do you have a functioning First Amendment when the cancel culture only allows one side to talk?
Yep, that's right. That's what it is. It's important for you to hear this. The power of repetition is astonishing. The tsunami of lies of the left— president incited violence. Insurrection. Every white is a racist. Men give birth. Understand? Tsunami of lies. There is nothing— I am convinced now— there is nothing that repeated enough will not be believed by substantial percentage of the population. Read to you yesterday, it's a very sobering thing to read about how young people think. Let me see if I still have that in front of me. It was a study done by one of the think tanks or universities. It was not done by conservatives. That's the thing you should know. Let me see. I should have that out. Here we go, yeah. Thompson Center research from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Nearly 40% of students believe the government should restrict the speech of climate change deniers. Over 50% of students believe the government should restrict the speech of racially insensitive people. 63% believe the government should punish hate speech. Okay, just a few of the beliefs of young people in the United States. These things would have barely registered 50 years ago. Free speech was a given. That's correct. All right, everybody. I'm watching this thing and I'm looking at this horrific scene of how these people breach the Capitol building, hoping nobody gets hurt, hoping the officers are able to maintain order, hoping there's no destruction of valuable of, uh, you know, artifacts and things like that in that building, how this looks by— but from terrorists, they're seeing how easy it is to breathe. That's what I'm thinking about. It never occurred to me to go, you know what, Larry, I wonder what would have happened had these people been largely Black people. I, I guess I had other things on my mind, but if you want to play that game, let's play that game. Holding in my baby brown libertarian fingers, article from the Wall Street Journal, April 27, 2016. Headline: This study found race matters in police shootings, but the results may surprise you. And the article, very detailed. I urge you to go get it yourself. We have it up on LarryOwens.com, and it goes through a very thorough analysis of how studies Analyses, research back to the '70s show the police more hesitant, more reluctant to pull the trigger on Black suspects than on white suspects. Washington State, over a series of years, 3 studies, all of which reached the same conclusion: officers were 3 times more hesitant to pull the trigger against a Black suspect than a white suspect. So you want to play this game about what would have happened had the protesters been Black? The likelihood is they would have pulled back even more and the building would have been trashed more.

Governor, you were the first of the major Republican contenders in 2016 to endorse the president. Do you regret that decision?
I do not, Hugh. I do not, because I knew when I dropped out of that race and then after the South Carolina primary that none of the other people on the stage were going to beat Donald Trump. He was going to be the Republican nominee, and I was completely committed. In fact, in some ways desperate to make sure that Hillary Clinton was not the next president of the United States. And when you look at the tax cuts, the regulation cuts, most importantly, the judicial nominees, you know, the problem is that the president's behavior at times has obscured his accomplishments.
Oh, I agree. The JCPOA and the Abraham Accords, there's a great list. Will that now always have appended to it As Nixon has resignation appended to him, the riot and insurrection of Wednesday. Townhall.com and click on the Town Hall TV. Hi everyone, I'm Dennis Prager and We're gonna go to more calls. I really want you to have a chance to speak out because it's suppressed so much, unprecedentedly, in the United States. But a thought occurred to me during the break. I don't know why. Nothing specific triggered it, thank God, not in my own immediate family. But it, it is hard to imagine, and I, I root for people to overcome this, but it is hard to imagine having a left-wing individual in your circle of friends and/or in your family and there not being some rift It's not talking about liberals, I'm talking about leftists. Liberals you should love up and make the case that you're not the enemy, the left is, which is true. It's an easy case to make, but it's hard to imagine that people supporting the impeachment and you can live in loving peace. We see, we see everything differently. It's, it's unprecedented. It's not like we see things— we don't even— it's not like we— I'm conflating two ideas, but they're very similar. It is not as if You both perceive the same reality and simply have a different assessment. Our realities differ, and I know for a fact that my reality is more real than the left's because I read the left's. They believed that there was Russian collusion with the Trump campaign. They believe that it is hateful to say men do not give birth. They believe that it is a healthy thing to divide people not by their character but by their race, that it is a good thing to have a black dormitory. So it's a world of perceptions, not only a world of what to do. It's not the prescriptions that are only differ— differing. It is the reality that is different. Okay, I mean, thousands of left-wing health people, doctors, epidemiologists, and others said it was a health benefit. To demonstrate on behalf of anti-racism. Remember that? The same people who said don't congregate with one another said, ah, but there's a health benefit to demonstrating against racism. Science has been crapped on by the left. The New England Journal of Medicine I had a piece on the transgender, which had nothing to do with science. Nothing. The shame on the medical profession for not advocating anything to people. What if they advocate in order to either prevent or mitigate getting COVID? Isn't that what doctors are supposed to do? What should you do They wait till you get sick and get hospitalized to treat you. Why aren't they at the very least telling Americans take a lot of vitamin D and zinc? Why don't they just say that? That it's been a disgrace, the medical profession, a disgrace. Not to mention its, its antipathy to hydroxychloroquine, one of the safest drugs in, in the history of drug use, which for the record I have been taking now for half a year as a prophylaxis, that so should I get COVID, it will be much milder. Twitter does not allow Dr. Zelenko, who has saved countless lives with hydroxychloroquine and zinc, New York doctor Vladimir Zelensky. Twitter does not allow him to even put out what he has done. The amount of freedom of speech in this country being suppressed by the left, especially Twitter, just cesspool, has caused people to die. The medical profession has caused people to die. Now there, there you go. There's a different reality, right? My reality is that the medical profession has killed a lot of Americans because of its political, not medical, opposition to hydroxychloroquine in the early stages of COVID Your reality is the medical profession is doing a service to Americans depriving them of that drug. Which is completely safe, to the extent that any drug could be completely safe. So it's not even a matter of prescriptive differences. Our reality perceptions are different. Hard to imagine that not being rift-causing in relationships, and I hope it isn't, but I have to be honest. Yes indeed. Okay, Jim in Sarasota, Florida. Hello.
Hey Dennis, love the show. You have said, uh, that they've shut us down in every way. I think I've heard on your show and other places, whataboutism. You can't even describe what happened and they shut you down immediately. And they have a term for that, so racist, homophobic, and now you have whataboutism. Sabotage them.
They won't even let you speak. That's right, that is correct.
Yep.
I sometimes fantasize that all the big cities make their own country and leave us the rest and see who has happier, kinder human beings 10 years from now. That's a big factor too. The left is neither happy nor kind. Conservatives are way kinder and happier. And that's why you should see our video at PragerU of the woman who went to a Trump rally, lifelong Democrat. She was shocked by how nice everybody was.

I mean, there's a lot of Republicans, oh, okay, thank you CNN, rush to CNN. You shouldn't give CNN the time of day.
Why?
Anybody you see on CNN or any of these anti-Republican, anti-conservative outlets, that speaks volumes. It speaks volumes if you're cozying up to the media elites. You, you are telling the world who you really are. Again, I, I love this, uh, this comment I saw on social media last night. Gave me a little bit of hope after a despondent evening. Fun fact: the ruling elite are terrified of an angry general populace. Listen, they despise people like Ron DeSantis because he stands up to jerks like that lady.

We only deal in the facts, and Katie Pavlich has given them to us. Yes, there were thousands of peaceful Trump supporters that marched to Capitol Hill and that surrounded the building. There were others that broke the law and that gained entry to that building and did damage to that building. But some of the people who were there disguised as Trump supporters were in fact BLM and Antifa.
Will we ever get to the bottom of what really happened?
We are 12 days away from Biden taking over in his installation of Merrick Garland as the Attorney General of the United States. So no, don't hold your breath for some official judicial conclusion or even a prosecution of these individuals because that's not in their interests. BLM is peaceful. Didn't you know that? Antifa doesn't exist. It's just an idea. But as long as we have great people like Katie Pavlich and my colleagues at Town Hall and at Salem, we will give you the truth because that's why we exist. That's why we are here. That's why this radio show broadcasts to you every day of the week for 3 hours. Learn that there is a proposal to amend the U.S. Constitution to abolish the Electoral College, provide the direct election— provide for the direct election of the President and Vice President of the United States. That's right, because these people know better than the founders how the country should be constituted. See, that's the arrogance of these people. They are wiser than Jefferson and Madison and Hamilton and Washington and Franklin. They're just— they're wiser. That's what they believe. What a stupid idea. That we don't have just majority rule, that we not be just a direct democracy, that we'll be a republic. What a stupid idea that was, wasn't it? So everything will revolve around LA and New York and Chicago, and that's it. They'll determine the winners every year. Nobody will bother campaigning then in Michigan or Ohio. Or Florida for that matter. Why bother? Just go to the most populated places, promise them the most goodies, and you get elected. Idaho? How do you spell it? Yes, that's what they do. They destroy Saratoga, New York. Larry, hello.
How you doing, Dennis?
I'm well, thank you.
Um, pretty sad with what's been going on in the country. I'm a 67-year-old disabled veteran from Vietnam.
God bless you.
Uh, my wife and I— she was my girlfriend at the time— but we went to 6 rallies in September and October, and as you said before, those people were nothing but very, very friendly.
That's right.
And I gotta say something about Donald Trump. What I tried to tell people is when that man looks at you, he looks— I felt like he loved everybody he was looking at and felt for us. He didn't look above me, he looked with me.
Yep, I believe that.
Just talk to me right now, I'm almost in tears that they I don't know how strong that man is, how, how he did what he did. I couldn't do that.
That's right.
My father's probably rolling over in his grave. He's a World War II veteran.
Who was really— oh, your father? Your father?
Yeah, yeah, my father was a father in the Philippines in World War II. I fought in Vietnam. I was actually on a Navy ship, and Donald Trump just signed that bill for me. The one, the blue, blue water.
Well, he has a special affection for veterans, especially any who got a disability, as I do for you, my friend. It's very stupid, aside from wrong. This impeachment is stupid. It's just consolidating people Who can't stand the left.
Turning now on the Charlie Kirk Show.
The last year we have seen BLM incorporated rioters burn down the cities of our country with very little to any of arrests happen. We saw Antifa go after conservatives and kill a conservative in the street of Portland. We saw the Russia hoax and zero people be held accountable to it, from Peter Strzok to Lisa Page to Brennan to Clapper. We saw this entire voter fraud nonsense unfold. We saw the Ukrainian impeachment hoax earlier in the year. Hillary has never been even close to being indicted for what she did from the Clinton Foundation or from Uranium One? How about Hunter Biden? You think Hunter Biden's ever going to serve serious time in jail? How about the lockdowns? I don't trust any institution that exists anymore in our country, and you shouldn't either. I don't trust many of our leaders that legislate. I don't trust our corporations. I don't trust our universities. And I don't trust the media. Now, that's not to say that violence is justified. That's not the point. The point is that if you lazily and sloppily slap a label onto these people and say, oh, they're insurrectionists, like, hold on a second, get a little bit deeper and a little bit more nuanced of what's happening in our country right now. What drives them? They don't trust their system is what is driving them.

You know what? I saw Ron DeSantis say something the other day that really, really got to me. He said the highlight of my life, of my job, of my existence is to have people come up to me now. And with tears in their eyes and say, thank you, Governor DeSantis. Thanks to you, my family still has an income. I still have a job. Thanks to you, I've been able to survive this horrific year. You should see New York. Oh my goodness, it's terrible what New Yorkers have experienced and are continuing to experience. And, and believe me, look at the comparisons of New York and Florida. It's very apt. So here's Governor DeSantis at that press conference where a CNN reporter was strutting around like a peacock trying to embarrass him and talk over him, and he, he completely, uh, bested her with this exchange.
What has gone wrong with the rollout of the vaccine that we've seen phone lines jammed, websites crash. A lot of demand. I mean, I think at the end of the day— excuse me, excuse me, if I could finish my question. You just said what has gone wrong, so I'm answering the question. If I could complete the question though. So you're going to give a speech or you're going to answer, ask a question? We've seen websites crash and also senior citizens waiting overnight for the vaccine. Where was that at? We've seen it in Duval, Broward, Orange, and Lee. Why was there a big line? Did you, did you investigate why? Could you tell us why? Because We distributed vaccine to hospitals and the hospital said first come, first serve. If you show up, we'll do it.
See, I mean, these CNN clowns aren't interested in any kind of answers. She doesn't care about a response. She wants to posture and behave more like an activist than a reporter.

Well, I don't believe the president intended for what happened to happen, but I think As has happened for all of the 8 weeks here since the election, the president—
Hi everybody. He announced Joe Biden, his first task is to try to unite Americans. So what does his party do with one week, one week, 7 days to go with an American president? Impeach him. Oh God. I always asked about the left, do they believe their lies? And I think they do, which makes it hopeless. I'd like to ask Joe Biden on a lie detector, do you think that impeaching a president who received the most votes of any incumbent president in the history of the United States with a week to go in his term will unite Americans? What do you think he'll answer? Now here's the point. No one in the press will ask him that. The purpose of a press conference for the last 4 years was to somehow catch the president. The purpose of a president in the next 4 years— the purpose of a press conference for the next 4 years is, how do we bolster your presidency? There is no journalism in the press any longer. It is just as the Soviet press. It is there to promote a certain party. In that case, the Communist, in this case, the Democratic Party. That is the purpose of the press. So is that not a fair question to ask? Do you think that this promotes what you stated is a goal of uniting Americans? There's a part of me that is actually pro the impeachment. I would not vote for it. It's despicable. But I am happy they're doing it because I want people to understand that Biden is indistinguishable from AOC. Yes, he doesn't agree with her on every policy, but on the moral state of the left, they're indistinguishable. And he will be, he will do what the left wants. That's it. So there's clarity and I love clarity. So now you understand. The viciousness of the Democratic Party. I'd like you to play Tom McClintock's comments. I found them exhilarating.
For 2 minutes. The gentleman from California is recognized for 2 minutes.
We'll go 4 minutes. Excuse me, I didn't realize that.
The gentleman from Ohio in control of the time. On that side of the aisle wishes to yield 4 minutes to the gentleman from California, correct?
Yes.
The gentleman from California is recognized for 4 minutes.
Thank you, Madam Speaker. You know, I didn't like the president's speech on January 6th either. I thought he was wrong to assert that the vice president and Congress can pick and choose which electoral votes to count. He was wrong to set such a confrontational tone in a politically tense situation. But what did he actually say? His exact words were, quote, "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard," unquote. That's impeachable? That's called freedom of speech. Now, he also threatened to oppose candidates in future elections. And by the way, that was directed at Republicans like me who'd resolved to uphold the constitutional process and protect the Electoral College. Well, so what? That's called politics. If we impeached every politician who gave a fiery speech to a crowd of partisans, this Capitol would be deserted. That's what the president did. That is all. He did. He specifically told the crowd to protest peacefully and patriotically, and the vast majority of them did. But every movement has a lunatic fringe. Suppressing free speech is not the answer. Holding rioters accountable for their actions is the answer, and we are. And if we'd prosecuted BLM BLM and Antifa rioters across the country with the same determination these last 6 months, this incident may not have happened at all. Now, short of declaring war, the power of impeachment is the most solemn and consequential act that Congress can take. To use it in this manner, in the heat of the moment, with no hearings, no due process, many members phoning in their votes after a hastily called debate exactly one week before a new president is to take office trivializes this power to the point of caricature. The Democrats have won everything in sight: the House, the Senate, and the presidency. In a republic, that calls for magnanimity by the victors. Only in a benevolent Banana Republic does it call for vengeance. Benjamin Franklin warned us that passion governs, and she never governs wisely. In our passions this week, we've set some dangerous new precedents that will haunt us for years to come. Yesterday, we redefined intemperate speech as a physical incapacity requiring removal from office. Today, we define it as a high crime and misdemeanor. Well, the moment any member of this body gives an impassioned speech and the lunatic fringe of their movement takes license from it, be prepared to answer to this new precedent that we establish today. Now, I could cite plenty of provocative speeches made by Democrats that directly preceded violence this summer, but We've already had enough of that. You know, after 600,000 Americans had perished in the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln appealed to the better angels of our nature. He said, "With malice toward none, with charity for all, let us bind up the nation's wounds." Those words were so important to the unity of our nation, they're inscribed in marble at the Lincoln Memorial. I cannot think of a more petty, vindictive, and gratuitous act than to impeach an already defeated president a week before he is to leave office. President-elect Biden's promise to heal the nation becomes a hollow mockery in the harsh reality of this unconstitutional act. Hill podcast expired.
Okay, that's right, it deserves applause. That's right, it's mockery. All that is good has been mocked. Yeah, Matt Gaetz gave a short talk.
It was And then we have the 2020 presidential election where the president correctly pointed out unconstitutional behavior, voting irregularities, concerns over tabulations. Dead people voting, and now impeachment again. When they go low, we kick them. Eric Holder, former Attorney General under Barack Obama, breaching the Capitol was as low as low can be. We all denounce it. But who is it that they're kicking? The president who created soaring highs for our economy, rising wages before the pandemic, 400 miles of wall to stop the caravans? Who drew down troops in the Middle East and showed empathy for the forgotten men and women of our country. It's why so many people love him so much, and it's why they're kicking all of us. This president has faced unprecedented hatred and resistance from big media, big tech, and big egos from congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle. Before the rioters tore through that glass, Speaker Pelosi stood at that rostrum and tore through the president's State of the Union speech, inciting anger, resentment, division. Some believe that truly these true colors are being shown now through this divisive partisan impeachment. The Speaker of the House, I would request an additional 40 seconds.
Go through the speaker, please. The gentleman from Ohio.
Madam Speaker, I yield to the gentleman an additional 40 seconds.
The 4 seconds or 40 seconds?
Yep, 40 seconds.
45 seconds.
I thank the gentleman. The speaker said to us just moments ago, words matter. But apparently those words don't matter when they're uttered by Democrats. When the gentlelady from Massachusetts calls for unrest in the streets, when the gentlelady from California brazenly brags that she called for people to get in the faces of those who serve and support the president.
Folks, we, uh, there are a lot of us. Don't forget that. We'll be back.

And the president is addicted to social media and to television and to division, and he's been lying to the American people for 8 straight weeks and planned it long before. No matter what was happening in any state, he was going to say the election was being stolen and the people needed to rise up. So, Senator, he said repeatedly to go wild when you get to the Capitol. They went to the Capitol and someone— well, now, let's be clear here.
I don't have any idea what was in his heart about what he wanted to happen once they were in the Capitol, but he wanted there to be chaos. And I'm sure you've also had conversations with other senior White House officials, as I have.
I have.
As this was unfolding on television, Donald Trump was walking around the White House confused about why other people on his team weren't as excited as he was, as you had rioters pushing against Capitol Police trying to get into the building.
That said, should he be impeached and removed?
I think that there are a lot of questions that we need to get to the bottom of about why the National Guard was not deployed. I want to understand more about why the National Guard wasn't deployed when there had been clear calls for it, and then why that delay happened. So there, there are more things that I need to understand before I get to a conclusory judgment about that. But I think the question of was the president derelict in his duty, that's not an open question.
He was.

I watch a lot of CNN and MSNBC, so you don't have to. I got the scars to prove it. Let me tell you something. Trump talked about the rally. He wanted people to come to D.C. Nobody said, uh-oh, 5 people are going to be killed because these guys are going to assault the Capitol building.
Oh my goodness.
Nobody said that. The most severe pathological hateful Trump hater never said that. Nobody said that. How many Trump rallies have there been? When have you seen this? That's why they weren't ready. Didn't think it was going to happen. Hadn't happened before. And there is some evidence that some of the people there were outside agitators, infiltrators. Some. Don't know, we're still sorting that out, but at least one guy is a known Antifa, Black Lives Matter activist, violent guy from Utah, one of them. But people didn't anticipate this because heretofore, for the most part, the Trump rallies have been peaceful. And most of the people again there were peaceful. All of a sudden, the media has forgotten that term that they love so much called mostly peaceful. They've also forgotten that term they love so much called defund the police. Why weren't the police there? Why wasn't there more of a police presence? Remember that— was it the mayor of Baltimore who said we gave the rioters space to destroy?

Law and order. I tell you what, it's law and order when you want to smear Republicans, but it's a peaceful protest when you're burning the city down for the devil. Well, that's, you know, Boy, is that ever true. Dennis Prager here. I want to remind you about Pure Talk USA. Pure Talk provides you telephone service— are you ready? Phone service on your smartphone for $20 a month. I thought it was too cheap, so I actually signed up. It's great. It's just as good as any other service. And that is the story. You just do #250, say Dennis Prager. #250, say Dennis Prager. PureTalk USA. Simply smarter. Better. That's okay, we'll hear that later. I want to read to you, my dear friends, from the Louisville Courier-Journal. A black professor of Pan-African studies, university, I believe it's Louisville, maybe University of Kentucky. Uh, it's one of the two. And let's see what it says here. Uh, yeah, it doesn't, doesn't tell. I had to look it up. But anyway, he writes for the Louisville, the big Louis, the big Louisville paper. He's a professor, Pan-African Studies, and he has an iHeart show, Ricky Jones Show. Okay, this is the title of his piece: Republicans Should Shut Up Unless They First Say They're Sorry for Supporting Trump. This is the future, my friends. If you supported Trump, you may lose your job. Republicans, you should not be allowed to speak about being shocked by President Donald Trump or the recent right-wing raid on Washington, D.C., for your words ring hollow. You all should be forced to shut the hell up. This is a professor, the head of Pan-African Studies. This is how he writes: You should all be forced to shut the hell up. Unless whatever you have to say begins with, "I'm sorry." You should not be allowed to condemn Trump or attempt to distance yourself from him unless you begin with, "I have helped him, and I'm sorry." You should not be allowed to cast aspersions on the people who stormed the Capitol building Unless you begin with, I helped cause this and I'm sorry. You've known what we've all known about your lord and savior Donald Trump from the beginning and you didn't care. You still loved him. You should admit it and apologize. Then he goes on to quote OG Ogbarr. Who he identifies as my Morehouse brother and University of Connecticut professor, Jeffrey O.G. Agbar. Agbar is correct when he observes Trump, quote, pandered to the worst qualities in people, their fears and ignorance. This is the line the left uses. See, our fears and ignorance. Well, I'm the anti-fear guy, and I'm certainly not ignorant. I thought he did a magnificent job, putting his tweets aside. But hey, what's the difference if there's peace in the Middle East? What's the difference if blacks have the lowest unemployment rate? He's not a lefty, and he hates the left. He didn't start out hating the left, he ended up hating the left. That's all that matters. See how well blacks do under the Ricky Jones people. Be interesting to see, won't it? Trump pandered to the worst qualities in people, their fears and ignorance. Yes, Trump is a liar, racist, demagogue, and madman. Really? But you Republicans, you so-called conservatives, were just fine with it. You loved it all. Yes, you shotgun with that maniac for the last 4 years. Don't stop now, keep riding! That's in caps. This is a column in the Louisville Courier-Journal by a professor. Stop using Trump as your fall guy now that he's done. You all, capital A, capital L, capital L, should apologize because you are all guilty. You have behaved like closed-minded, mean-spirited, nativistic, bigoted opportunists and sycophants without conscience or confession, openly and notoriously. Let me read that again. This is what I am because I supported him. Closed-minded, mean-spirited, nativistic, bigoted opportunist and sycophant without conscience.
Wow.
There you go. All right. Trump isn't the disease, he's a symptom. You are the disease. You are the problem. That's why they're going to come after people who supported Trump. That's the next thing in America. He was just your hitman. He will leave office, but you and your nastiness will remain. One thing I have not found among Trump supporters is nastiness. I wondered, has he ever actually been in a room with a Trump supporter? It's like that great article in the Wall Street Journal during the Obama administration that Obama has straw men in all his speeches, describes people and then knocks them down. This is exactly what this is. You have an idea of what a Trump supporter is like? I doubt it. You feign outrage now and say you are appalled when you see the Capitol building attacked. Stop it. You have gaslighted those racist neo-Confederate foot soldiers for years. You are their benefactors. You are their champions. You are their friends. Their acts are your responsibility and your shame. Yes, you cried bloody murder when Black people and their allies stood up or took knees for justice and decency. After they saw their kin killed in the streets by agents of the state all over the country. Read Heather MacDonald's statistics on Blacks being killed by police. It's just the extent of it. Of course it happens, but the extent of it is just a left-wing lie. You called for blood when a few buildings were damaged or looted. See, that's how he describes. So, so what happened last week was an insurrection, but what happened all summer was a few buildings were damaged or looted. This is— see how they manipulate language? We called for blood. Know this: taking a few things from a Target store is nowhere near the same as targeting the nation's capital. That's what we saw all summer, taking a few things from Target. God, I missed that. We'll be back.

The last year we have seen BLM-incorporated rioters burn down the cities of our country with very little to any of arrests happen. We saw Antifa go after conservatives and kill a conservative in the street of Portland. We saw the Russia hoax and zero people be held accountable to it. From Peter Strzok to Lisa Page to Brennan to Clapper, we saw this entire voter fraud nonsense unfold. We saw the Ukrainian impeachment hoax earlier in the year. Hillary has never been even close to being indicted for what she did from the Clinton Foundation or from Uranium One. How about Hunter Biden? You think Hunter Biden's ever going to serve serious time in jail? How about the lockdowns? I don't trust any institution that exists anymore in our country, and you shouldn't either. I don't trust many of our leaders that legislate. I don't trust our corporations. I don't trust our universities, and I don't trust the media. Now, that's not to say that violence is justified. That's not the point. The point is that if you lazily and sloppily slap a label onto these people and say, oh, they're insurrectionists, like, hold on a second. Get a little bit deeper and a little bit more nuanced of what's happening in our country right now. What drives them? They don't trust their system is what is driving them.

You know what, I saw Ron DeSantis say something the other day that really, really got to me. He said the highlight of my life, of my job, of my existence is to have people come up to me now and with tears in their eyes and say, thank you, Governor DeSantis, Thanks to you, my family still has an income. I still have a job. Thanks to you, I've been able to survive this horrific year. You, you should see New York. Oh my goodness, it's terrible what New Yorkers have experienced and are continuing to experience. And, and believe me, look at the comparisons of New York and Florida. It's very apt. So here's Governor DeSantis at that press conference where a CNN reporter was strutting around like a peacock trying to embarrass him and talk over him, and he completely bested her with this exchange.
What has gone wrong with the rollout of the vaccine that we've seen phone lines jammed, websites crashed? A lot of demand. I mean, I think at the end of the day, we— excuse me, excuse If I could finish my question. You just said what has gone wrong, so I'm answering the question. If I could complete the question, though.
She wants to posture and behave more like an activist than a reporter.

well, hello my friends. I've been reading to you from the Louisville Courier-Journal. The leading paper, leading not morally or ethically or newswise, just leading in Kentucky.
This—
if this man is a columnist, it gives you an idea. But that's true for all the major papers in the country. It's not unique to them, the demagoguery and dishonesty And just the way it's written, it's just an emotional outburst of hatred to people who supported Donald Trump. Half the country. I gotta remember that. This is a— this was a good one. So what am I and all those who supported the president for doing so much good for the country? Yes, here we go. Closed-minded, mean-spirited, nativistic, bigoted opportunists and sycophants without conscience. Wow, that is cool. That's what he believes. That's right. I've devoted my life to goodness, to the belief that Ten Commandments are the best answer to a bad world. And here I am among my fellow closed-minded, mean-spirited, nativistic, bigoted opportunists and sycophants without conscience. That's got to be up there with 6Herb. That, that's great. This is a guy, Ricky Jones. You're white supremacy. This is to all supporters of the president, basically all Republicans. Your white supremacy and racism It's really something, my white supremacy, because that— this includes me, obviously. So tell me what I've ever said that suggests white supremacy. I tell you, I do believe— I believe in the supremacy of the American value system, the Judeo-Christian value system. I do believe in supremacy. Just not by color. The Nazis were white, the Communists were white, and they were the lowest of the low. The idea that— the idea of white supremacy is as stupid as black supremacy or any other color-based anything. Anyway, here you go. Your white supremacy and racism have prompted you to spend your your years glorifying the Confederacy. That's fascinating. Glorifying the Confederacy. Confederate statues, memorials, villains, and fabricated history. And now you have your brethren marching through the Capitol largely unfettered. Unfettered. Did you see the Capitol Police fighting them? One was shot to death. I wouldn't call that unfettered. Unfettered is the reaction of Democrats to Antifa and BLM riots. That's unfettered. Ricky Jones waving Confederate flags— that is what you and you alone have wrought. Okay. Share that hate-filled piece with you. But they're the compassionate crowd. That's their self-perception. Alrighty, everybody. Now let's see. Okay, let's go to, uh, Anderson, South Carolina, and Linda. Hello, Linda.
Hello, Dennis. It's a pleasure to speak to you. Thank you for taking my call.
Mm-hmm.
I have a daughter who's a leftist. I am a conservative.
Uh-huh.
It has been a rough run, and my sister suggested I go to Al-Anon because being a leftist is being an addict. To, oh, my little feelings are hurt, you don't know what you're talking about, you're stupid, da da da da, on and on. And I found that doing Al-Anon Zoom meetings have helped me learn how— excuse me— how to speak with her and how to avoid the tantrum.
So really, that's great. That is great to hear. Can you give an example?
Uh, yeah, um, Al-Anon teaches you that you can't control anyone, right? Correct.
So it's—
yeah, so when she would start going absolutely crazy on the phone because we don't see each other very often in person. She would start screaming at me and telling me how stupid I am. I'm 72.
All right, you gotta tell me. You know, the buildup has been long, so I— but I'm dying to hear what you do when she calls you stupid. This is the woman's daughter. She's stupid. Mother is stupid. So now me at 27, I can now play historian. So let me tell you what's about to happen. Okay, sure. When Democrats have unified government, they're going to reach too big and they're going to fail with a lot of it. We now have to pinpoint though what fights matter most. Number 1, the continuation of the Electoral College. Number 2, no more seats on the Supreme Court. Number 3, no new states. Number 3 is the one that we really got to look out for. So if we're smart, we should go ask Joe Manchin right now on the record, do you support adding new states to the union? I have a whole very provocative argument that I think that Joe Manchin should run for Senate majority leader and all the Republicans should support him, therefore not allowing Chuck Schumer becoming Senate majority leader. So I'm going to come out with that publicly. Today. I guess I'm breaking it exclusively, Eric. It's my— I did come up with the idea, but it's actually so patently obvious. But then here's the other thing that's going to happen, Eric, is that we're going to start to get— it's going to get worse before it gets better. They're going to crack down on us like never before. There's going to be a lot of indictments, investigations, deplatforming, censoring, loss of hope. And then things will— then we're going to have to rally and we're going to have to find some momentum. But for anyone who now says Well, the country is over, it's lost. Then go, go to Paris, okay? I have no time for you right now, okay? I'm gonna fight for every single inch of this country. And if you're all of a sudden gonna be these people that—
it's—
there's, there's a direct connection of the people that were dealing in hope, like, give me the opium, and now the people that want nothing to do with it. It's over, it's done. Fine, yeah, go to Brussels, okay? I want nothing to do with that. We gotta fight.

Hi everybody, you're listening to the Dennis Prager Show. This very powerful piece in one of the most important websites, American Great— American Thinker. They're both great, American Thinker and American Greatness. This is American Thinker. It's titled Trump Was Tragically Finished Off at the Hand of a ruthless assassin himself. What was Trump thinking? Why did he invite a supersized rally crowd to the Capitol on the very day members of Congress were prepared to expose the fraudulent election in front of tens of millions? Why did Trump erase the chance for anyone, even opponents, to witness proof of the steal? That's a good one. Why did Trump once more get rolled? The TV cameras never displayed the electoral count proceedings, instead predictably captured the Dem-orchestrated breach into the rotunda. That I don't know about. I don't know who orchestrated it, but the point is the point. He had, by scheduling the rally that day, the American public was deprived the opportunity, the only one that would really have, of seeing any evidence with regards to what he was having a rally about. That's the way it works. That's the way it worked, let's put it that way. Okay, Stephen in Sacramento, California. Hello.
Hi, Dennis. Let me take you off speaker.
Okay.
Hi Dennis, you know, you just read that thing about this guy calling Trump fans white racist, KKK, whatever. It's just so annoying because I'm a black Republican and it's like we don't exist. And Hispanic Trump supporters, we don't exist. We're lower than animals. We're not even dirt. They don't even mention us. It's like, how can he be a white racist KKK leader if he has so many minority supporters.
Uh, that Ricky Jones, this professor of Pan-African studies in, in Kentucky, did not address. That is correct.
You know, I'm called, I'm called a white racist supremacist fascist, and it just blows my mind. I've been called that for 4 years, and it just—
so let me ask you what I always ask blacks who are concerned conservative or Republican. How do— how does your family react to you?
Well, you know, I think my situation is a little unusual. I've been estranged from most of my family, and I'm on Facebook, and they actually— some long-distance relatives just contacted me a year or so ago. And as I saw their post on Facebook, I saw what they said about President Trump, and I declined to respond to their reaching out to me. They so hated him and their posts were so irrational, so insane. I really just stopped responding to their request to reach out to me. So I rejected them because I saw so much hate for President Trump, just irrational hate. And they, and I hadn't talked to them. They found me through Facebook and I was going to, uh, actually, you know, go to a family reunion and, uh, there was months before the reunion was supposed to happen and I saw all the post from them, and I told one of the ladies that were contacting one of my relatives, I said, you know what, I'm not going to go to the family reunion. She said, why not? I said, because I'm a Trump supporter and I don't— and I wouldn't feel safe there.
Are you married?
They really haven't talked to me. They haven't talked to me since.
Are you married?
I'm divorced.
You have kids?
No. I, you know, Dennis Prager, I just I drank heavily for 20 years and I really kind of almost lost my entire life and a big chunk of it. I sobered up and I started, I really feel like I started life very late because of my alcoholism. That's correct.
Every year of an addict's life is a year lost. It's like being dead. It's like being dead for that period of time.
Dennis, you know what blows me away is I, The whole time I was drinking, I thought I was having a great life, and now I can't remember most of it. I run into people that I angered or offended while I was drinking. I have no idea what I did to them. And I thought I was having a great time. I don't remember hardly a single thing of all those years where I thought I was having an incredible time.
Are you in a 12-step program?
Uh, no, actually, uh, I, I really think God intervened. I was an atheist. And when I opened up my heart and accepted God, it was easy to quit drinking. So you decided to quit.
So you don't meet with others on a regular basis?
No, no. I actually went to a 30-day rehab in Copperopolis, and as soon as I got out of there, I started drinking again. On the way home, I started drinking again.
Yeah, no, I know that. That's common. So, but how come you have not gone to an AA meeting?
I, well, I didn't like him because they smoked cigarettes. That was probably my biggest gripe. Everybody smoked like a freight train, and I don't smoke. And, and I just, and I just really didn't want to be around them. They were just— I just, it wasn't for me.
Okay, that's fine. I was just curious. Listen, you're a special guy. It should be a warning to anybody on drugs, whether it's alcohol or drugs. Every year you are on that, you were, you were, you were breathing, but you were dead. This is not meant to scare you. It's, it's not an exaggeration. You, if you are an addict from 20 to 30, then at 30, when you become, God willing, sober, you are still 20. There was no growth during the period of addiction. So there are a lot of 20-year-olds who are 40 or 50 and so on. Yes. All right, let's go to, uh, Oh boy, I'm sorry. Oh yeah, Don in St. Paul. Hello, Dennis.
Thank you for taking my call. Uh, I'll start by saying I'm in recovery myself. Um, I'm impressed by your knowledge and understanding of that.
Thank you.
Uh, so the reason for my call, I'm from Minneapolis, um, and I've just seen this, uh, Drive on the left to minimize the riots that pretty much destroyed my city. Um, I've heard, like you just read, the guy said, uh, damage to some buildings. I saw a tweet going around that said some chain stores were messed up. Uh, that, that's not the situation here. Um, there's buildings burned to the ground, people are fleeing. Uh, yeah, so I just wouldn't buy into that.
Yes, I think that's really important. God bless your recovery.

But as long as we have great people like Katie Pavlich, and my colleagues at Town Hall and at Salem, we will give you the truth. Because that's why we exist. That's why we are here. That's why this radio show broadcasts to you every day of the week for 3 hours. Now more than ever. Other, it's crucial that you share this information, that you propagate the knowledge you receive from this show.

The last year we have seen BLM incorporated rioters burn down the cities of our country with very little to any of arrests happen. We saw Antifa go after conservatives and kill a conservative in the street of Portland. I don't trust I don't trust many of our leaders that legislate. I don't trust our corporations. I don't trust our universities.
Dennis Prager, final segment of today's show. I canceled the male-female hour. I'm really sorry about that. I really am, as you well know. I'd much rather talk about your life than about the assault on America from the left. But, you know, it's amazing to me. I spent much of my broadcast career during the Cold War. The first, let's see, it would be the first 10 years was during the Cold War, and I spoke a lot about communism and the Soviet Union, somewhat less communist China. And then I remember when the Berlin Wall came down, I thought, oh wow, Great, now I can concentrate on happiness, men and women, the meaning of life, religion. I mean, the things that, that animate a life. And then the left decided to threaten America much more seriously than the Soviet Union did. And then We are here right now where the President of the United States is not capable of tweeting. That is a very, very scary thing. First of all, it's rooted in a lie that he cultivates violence. If he cultivates violence, there should be no left-wing speaker who has a Twitter account. The ratio of violence left to right is like 1,000 to 1. I'm talking about individuals Talking about groups, riots. The riots are— until this, I was able to say until last week, it's one of the reasons I'm so angry at these people, the right doesn't riot. That was only the left does. Okay, so now I could say the left does 99% of the time. They, they are muzzling the president. They are muzzling almost everybody that I know. This is, uh, this can't be tolerated. We need to separate. Let the left keep what it, what it dominates. We have to get out. And it begins— I'm sorry, my heart breaks for you if you're a parent of young kids— starts with getting out of the schools. You cannot send your kid to a regular school— elementary, high school, or college— and then complain later that they have rejected everything you hold dear and precious. You, you have been told in as stark a manner as possible by me, and perhaps by others, what to expect if your kid goes to a school in America in 2021. I wish it were not the case. My dad went to public school, and every value his parents had was reinforced at school. Now every value you have is trampled on at school. See you tomorrow. Let's get Kufai done.
