The reply of respectable liberalism has been to urge de-escalation, ceasefires, and a two-state solution, and to blame Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu when they don't materialize. It's as if Hamas, Hezbollah, and their patron in Iran don't exist. Hamas has refused to engage with mediators for weeks, and a Palestinian state at peace with Israel has never been its objective or Iran's. See, that's point. People talk about a Palestinian state. They are willfully ignorant of the fact that they have turned down a state 5 times. Bill Clinton had arranged the state with Yasser Arafat, and Arafat decided to blow Israelis up in buses instead. That's my old doctrine. People do not want to stare at evil because it's too— it's too bright. It's not dark evil, it's bright.
