It's not possible. It is impossible not to be a package that includes some stuff that may not be terrific in the other person's eyes. It's not possible. So what do you do? You measure. Is it significant? That's what you have to ask. That's why all happiness must be brain-centered, not emotion-centered. So your mind has to ask, is this package worth it? That is the question. That you have to ask in order to have any relationship. Is it— is the person worth it? Am I going to disqualify this person on the basis of this or this or this? And if you're not, maybe it's just worth ignoring. Or better, accepting. Doesn't mean we can't improve. Everybody can improve. But we're all packages, and that makes us who we are.
