Arunima scales up her Baking Business and doubles her income | DFC Quantum Ep 11

Have you had dreams as a homemaker that you wanted to do something and you never ever had the confidence or the zeal to pick up the threads and create a business out of your passion? We have a lovely story of a person who was a homemaker and had a lot of dreams but had no confidence. And she has magic in her hands. And we have none other than Arunima. She is a Quantum member not once, not twice, but 3 times consecutively. And she's here to share her story of how from becoming a homemaker— from a homemaker, she's become a baker, professional baker, and is on her way to scaling her business up. So Arunima, please Welcome to our channel, and how do you feel?

Thank you, Dee. Thank you so much for giving me that kind of a space, and this is an overwhelming thing for me. And yes, as you rightly said, that I was very underconfident and was not in a state that yes, I can do something. You made me realize, you made me think about. I was doing work, I was taking orders, but then I never had that kind of a confidence with ChocoBytes where I always used to think that as a side business. You made me realize that no, this is my forte. And when I started realizing it, I started getting amazing results, I started getting amazing reviews, I started getting amazing work, and I was very happy with what I was doing, which was not there in past. So thank you, thank you, thank you so much, Dee, for doing that change in me and making me comfortable with my own business, which is a very strange thing that what I had, you made me realize that yes, I have something that I can do and make people happy with my work. And that gave me a lot of confidence. And a lot of my anxiety came down with that because of the work I was doing. I used to feel that, no, I couldn't do— I was not doing anything for anybody. But when I started getting things where confidence was there, so it was like amazing. And I said, yes, no, Anubha, you can do something and you have something in you. Which is there. A little magic is somewhere there which was hiding, and my magician, she wanted the— she did that, and I, I am here and, uh, really happy.

And, uh, I want to ask you that I'm sure that you have faced so many challenges. You have two younger daughters, a family, parents, in-laws, you have everybody, and you have a lot of responsibility even as a mom, as a wife. As a daughter, daughter-in-law, you have a lot of responsibilities. Despite the responsibilities, how did Quantum help you to, to pick up your threads and say, no, I've got to, you know, earn money. I've also got to do my business, follow my passion. How did you build up that? How did Quantum help you?

So Quantum was like magic. I always had that thirst of earning money, but I didn't know how. That, that was one thing which was like, I don't know how to do it. I was always juggling with my interior work and my Choco Bites, so it was like I was not on one path. And as we say in The Stranger's Secret, that if a ship is on the way to the ocean without a Google Map, it is lost. So you are my Google Map. You showed me that way. And, uh, believe me, when I had joined Quantum, that time, that was a time when I had lost a very close friend. Yeah, I need a close friend. I lost, uh, the whole family who was very close to me. And, uh, you came as a person, like a lifeguard, who took me out of that ocean of sorrow and deep sinking thing and made me realize that no, the people who have left you, they have gone. You have your life, you have your family, you need to dust and go move on. So that is there. And at the same time, you made me mentally stable. I was like so worked up with so many things, anxiety levels was too high. Uh, at times people used to say, Anma, we get scared at times, because we don't know when you get angry on things. But now the situation is that I don't get angry, but at the same time, I know how to put my point to others in a better way, which Quantum taught me. That how without your anger, without your anxiety, showing your anxiety, you can put things in a much more better way And the people who used to tell that, no, you, you get angry, you get angry, now they said, no, I know you're a completely changed person. Your thought process has changed, your perspective towards life has changed. And that change I see in my husband, in my family. In fact, I would say, Vinay, at times it is— you should not say that, but when you are not confident, your family also doesn't show that kind of confidence on you. But when you are confident, all the family gets together and they are like there together. So at times you used to feel initially that you're all alone in this journey, but now no, I don't feel. So when I was having too much of orders, from nowhere all my family came together and they all were working with me. And it was such a— I cannot explain you what kind of an overwhelming experience that was there for me. That we all were doing it in such a happy space where live music of positivity was going on. We all were like in such a happy state and it was a very beautiful thing. And I would say thanks, thanks, thanks a ton again from bottom of my heart to this Quantum Journey. And I really look forward to many more journeys with Quantum like this, I'm not gonna go anywhere. I'm like, uh, I'm gonna stuck with you forever, Dhanaz.

And tell our viewers that about your digital journey.

Digital journey? Yes, I am super duper excited about this. I, uh, I don't want, uh, so what I am doing right now is I am becoming a digital coach for home bakers. Who are struggling to, uh, find their path. I don't want them to struggle the way I had struggled. I don't want them to go to different places paying unnecessary kind of money here and there to different levels. They need to go. I would not say that they don't need that professional certified courses and all those things, but I will also be certifying them at my level. At the same time, what I am trying to teach them here is which till now I haven't learned it from anyone. That is a self-learned thing. Learn the basic and invent your own thing. That is what I want my, uh, tribe, my, uh, community to learn, that have that kind of a confidence that if you see a blue pea powder tea, you should know what. So this is one short experience that I will tell you, uh, and to my, uh, to the viewers of yours, that we had gone to Darjeeling and I was there in one of the shop where, uh, I saw a blue tea, uh, blue pea tea there, and I just saw that and I just imagined myself that I am making a ganache out of it. And that very moment, within 5 minutes, I could visualize that whole dessert that I'm making— a white truffle chocolate with a blue pea ganache infused in it. And I could feel that taste of it. So that is what I want my, uh, community to learn, that that is what will help them also to be different from the others. This is what is my motive behind doing this whole thing. And shortly I'm going to get into it and going to launch it in a very big way. That is for sure. And our thanks to you for pushing.
