But first priority is yourself. So the first thing that you're going to write in that book is what you're going to do for yourself. Hello and welcome back to my channel. This video is for all my amazing homemakers who feel that it's a very thankless job doing things for the family and nobody appreciates you. If you're one of them, just let me know in the comments below that yes, I really need this video. And I want you to stay with me right till the end because as a homemaker, as a full-time homemaker and looking after my house, I've got an amazing tip for all of you. So in this video, I'm going to be telling you that as a homemaker, how you need to organize your day so that you also have time for yourself. Prioritize your time because looking after the house is a full-time job. And a lot of homemakers have come to me, especially in our community, in the Deenaz Fitness community. The homemakers come to me and say that, you know, Deenaz, it's such a thankless job, nobody appreciates me. And then you end— you go spiraling down into, I'm not loved, I'm not appreciated. So if you're one of them, just make sure that you subscribe to my channel because I'm going to be making many such videos for all my amazing superhero homemakers. First and foremost, remember that as a homemaker, you have a lot of jobs. You have more jobs to do in the house than the spouse that is going out and doing work. So first and foremost, acknowledge the fact that you are a very busy person. And I want you to start talking to yourself that, yes, doob, I'm looking after the house. Yes, I'm a very busy person. And that's why you need to make your own environment very, very comfortable so that you don't get stressed in the house while doing the work. And when you make your environment comfortable, not only for yourself but also for your loved ones, then you'll be able to see that you're going to be able to wade in through the day's chores much more easily and much more comfortably. So one of the things that helped me tremendously is prioritize and plan. I always have like— I'll show it to you all. I always have like a book this kind of a book. I always have this kind of a book where I write today's day, and in that I also write from the time I wake up in the morning till the time I go to sleep, not only the things that I need to do at work, but I also write down what I need to cook, what I need, where I need to go, if I need to go buy groceries, whatever it is. I plan and I prioritize my day, and this helps me structure my day and not roam around from room to room in a very haphazard manner. So the first thing I want all of you to do is Buy a book like that. Buy a book, and what works for me is a book that is spiral bound like this, so that I can go through the pages easily and comfortably. And you know, just to let y'all know, I also play around with a lot of pens. So I use a red pen and a black pen. That way I color, put things in high priority, low priority items, and that kind of gives me a lot of structure. When there is a structure to your task, you'll be able to do the tasks in a routine manner. So create that routine and write down that routine. Remember, in the routine you have to not only take care of the house, but first priority is yourself. So the first thing that you're going to write in that book is what you're going to do for yourself, whether you're going to exercise, whether you're going to do breathing, whether you're going to do yoga, whether you're going to go out for a walk. You are a priority. As a homemaker, you have dedicated your entire life for your family. Now it is time for you to dedicate time and give time to yourself for self-care. See, if you feel that you have not been looking after yourself, put it in the comments below. I need to look after myself more so that I can give you more such videos. Okay, now as a homemaker, you're struggling with all the tasks. Okay, nobody told you that you need to do all the tasks. You are an independent person and you need to learn to start taking independent decisions. And in that independent state of mind, the first thing you can do is start delegating work. You might want to use technology, you might want to delegate work to a family member, whether it is to your spouse, whether it is to your children. Create that plan for your family, sit with them and tell them that, hey, you know what, just because I'm sitting at home, that that doesn't mean I end up doing all these tasks. Let's do things together. So delegate, make sure that your children clean their own rooms, make their own beds. When you wake up, you and your spouse make your own bed together. Breakfast time, everybody can come into the kitchen. You don't have to do things alone. Start delegating work. If you need to get additional support staff in your home, go ahead and do that so that you have time to yourself. You know, there are gizmos like, uh, robot, like cleaning machines. Like a Roomba. We have a Roomba at our home, and every day we just let the Roomba loose and it just cleans the entire house. It's just buzzing all over the place. So delegate work, involve your family. Start blocking time for yourself. Say that, say, from 6 to 7 in the morning is your time. Then from 11 to 12 in the morning is your time where either you're going to go and get your nails done, or you're going to sit back and have a massage, Or you're going to take oil and you're going to put oil on your head. Whatever it is, it is not housework. It is time for yourself. And also, by doing this, you're going to be feeling good about yourself. A lot of homemakers don't feel good about themselves because they don't know how to prioritize tasks. And then by the time the spouse comes back from work, you're like, I did this, I did this, and then that involves— that gets into a conflict. So the way you solve, the way you plan your day. The way you prioritize your task will result in more love and harmony in the house rather than conflict. And that is why technology, the use of technology will also help. There are a lot of apps today, recipe apps, planners, everything is available on your phone. So use that, use technology to the best of your ability. You know, a lot of especially homemakers are very obsessed about WhatsApp, sending WhatsApp, receiving WhatsApp messages. Stop doing that. Focus on how you can use technology. By using technology, you can create an environment of your own home, in your own home, which is very efficient. And you know what? By doing that and learning technology for your own skill, you never know, you might become a coach, you might become, you might do some business from home, all from your own phone. So you never know when you learn technology where your life will be. So set yourself realistic expectations. And do not set expectations with family members who are not ready to get molded. Sometimes you cannot change people. When you cannot change people, what happens? You get disappointed. Don't do that. When you can't change somebody else, you change the way you see that person, and by doing that, you start feeling really good about yourself. Connect with other people, build a support system. Maybe you're, you're part of a support group of your Maybe in the gated community that you're staying, maybe in the building there is a ladies group. Connect with them and go only if there is something productive. Sometimes you just want to go and have lunch with them, that is fine, but don't go to places where you end up gossiping, they are gossiping, you end up listening to that. You know, that doesn't feel good and that kind of rewires your mind in the wrong way. So be in the right environment. If you want to empower yourself You have to learn to be a continuous learner. You have to learn to invest in yourself, and the best way to invest in yourself is to invest in your own health. So go join a program. Go— if you're not part of the Dhanas Fitness community, come and join our community. The link is in the, in the description box. Invest money on your education. Invest money on learning how to Do something to earn money from your own home. So there are many ways where you can continuously learn, and by continuously learn— learning, your self-worth will start going up. Practice mindfulness. As you go from one room to the other in your house and you're doing tasks, focus on that task at that moment. Don't let your mind waver on 10 different things, and you're like, wow, this is like very, very good. And last but not the least, most important is celebrate all your achievements. All through the day, like if you've done 10 things and you've written down 10 things in red pen, keep ticking out all the 10 things. That's my secret. At the end of the day, I keep ticking out and I feel like, wow, I had so many tasks to do and I've done them all and I feel really good. So by doing all these things, remember that your self-worth will go up and your role as a homemaker will no more be challenging. These are the things that I have done. And that way it is an intentional change that you're making to create a very, uh, beautiful environment around your house. And by doing that, your relationships with your family are really going to go up. If you think that this use— this video has been really useful, click on the bell icon because I'm going to be sharing many such videos to improve your relationships with your family members. And most important is Share it with your friends, share it with your, share it with your ladies groups so that it benefits other women to lead a very happy family life.
