Hello everyone and welcome to our Game Changers YouTube channel. The goal of this playlist is to inspire each and every one of you to understand that if these super achievers could get the results of weight loss and good health from the comforts of your own home, you can do it too. And today I have a really beautiful lady, uh, her name is Vanshi. And Vanshi, thank you so much for coming on the show, and it's my honor and a privilege to have you on the show. And Vanshi tell us, which city are you from?
Morning, Di. I'm thoroughly privileged to be here with you. I'm from Delhi. I'm a public policy consultant and an educator.
Fantastic, fantastic. Public policy consultant, that's something different for me. Fantastic. Okay, let me know, how was your journey before you started and join the DFC community?
Fitness was not on my mind or my plate, though I required it, but I used to hate going to gym. Somehow it didn't fit in with my schedule, and I was almost 20 to 25 kgs overweight, battling very serious health issues with a fatty liver, burgeoning on, giving me great problems, with two bouts of COVID So Everything, in short, messy, problematic, without a solution.
And then you found us on social media.
I saw that life-changing Facebook ad, and I was like, wow, I'm struggling to get those 10,000 steps in a day, and here I can get that 5K in 1 hour. How is that even possible? I mean, that just got me going. I said, why not? You know, I have to join this. And that is when I, you know, took the leap of faith and then joined it. And life has never been the same after that.
So before this, you were not doing any workout, or have you been in and out of the programs?
Uh, I haven't joined a proper fitness program as such, but I have been doing my own walking and yoga. That is, uh, at the most that I could achieve.
But that was not contributing to your weight loss?
That wasn't, absolutely.
So did you join the 5-day WhatsApp class?
I did the— I began with that, and after that I joined the community and moved to Gold and Diamond, all within a period of 3 months.
Really?
Really? I did.
Even I didn't know that. So when did you join the DFC community? The—
I joined it in September 2021.
Wow, wow. And how much weight have you lost?
I've lost close to 12 kg and still counting.
Fantastic! How do you feel now?
Absolutely a changed person in the sense that many of the health issues are gone. Shatika is almost non-existent. Fatty liver has improved by, I would say, a quantum shift. My immunity is so good, I can't see any flus coming to me. That was the miracle. The other day I was telling even Hiral about it. I said the moment the season used to change and I used to cough and sneeze, rush to doctors, take antibiotics. All that is off my table, which is the biggest miracle in my life, I would say. My periods became regularized. I was a PCOD person, continue to be so, but now it's not on the mind. I feel more confident, and that non-existing social life that I was kind of, you know, avoiding for the sense of being conscious about my body image, that's back on the table.
You go physically and meet people also now?
Absolutely, Di. I was an extrovert always, but I used to— then, you know, I began shying away, you know. And for this meeting particularly, I wear a Western top, you know, to just share with the viewers, you know, how confident a person gets to get into clothes which you, you know, really want to, which I couldn't do ever before.
Oh, and that too in front of everyone.
Yeah, why not, you know? And everybody can make out that change, you know. Not one single person that I meet in a day asks me, oh, what have you done? You've lost so much, you know. So much accolades coming my way, it's just simply amazing.
So definitely your confidence levels have really gone up since you joined.
Absolutely, yeah. With respect to the body image, of course, I mean, it's been a sea change.
And what does your family have to say about it?
Family is definitely very happy to see me happy, you know, and they were worried that she's battling with health issues, but of course they supported me and they are very happy for me.
Fantastic. And colleagues also?
Yeah, of course, you know, everybody asks and then they say, "Arey, kaise kiya, kya hua?" You know, and it's so difficult. How can you even manage? I mean, 10 kgs, it's like, you know, they want me to write a book or something.
No way!
Wow!
Wow, that's beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. So when you joined the 5-day WhatsApp class, one of the things that most people are struggling with, uh, is the pace of the workout and the intensity of the workout because we are normally clubbing it with the DFC community members. So, and be honest about it, how did you feel when you first came into the workout room?
I was super, super excited because I was new to this Zoom medium. So when I get excited about a cause, I mean, on the risk of being, you know, cheeky, I would quote Salman Khan, "Jab maine kuch se commitment kar li toh main kuch ki bhi nahi sunti." I am in that zone, you know. But yes, of course, the first day of DFC, you know, first 25 minutes I was exhausted. I was like, is it for me? Is it not for me? But I said Dinaz has said 60 minutes, let us go the whole grind. I did it, I was tired, but it got me, you know, on fire. I said, wow, this is— I mean, the way you feel about your body, it was so exciting, you know. I mean, I could never look back then.
And you haven't— you had, you had been walking and doing yoga, but you hadn't been moving your body at that pace.
Absolutely. Absolutely.
And that's what made the difference.
Yeah. Yes, the lovely workouts with every festival and the zest and zoom of the— I mean, it's so infectious, you can't stay away from it. You know, I had discovered a whole new world without ever stepping out from the comforts of my zone.
You said that you were an introvert and you almost became an introvert from being an extrovert, and this is Brought you out. And this also, I, I also see that you are very active and you are very supportive of other community members. So can you tell everybody about, um, what is this community all about?
This community is a place of very supportive people. Uh, you have that comfort of, uh, you know, doing away with any fear, ridicule, and anxiety, because, uh, the moment you falter, people will be there to support you, to advise you, to take you forward, you know. And the things that worked for me, you know, apart from the workouts and masterminds, were the support from the community and being active on the Facebook group, because that keeps you accountable, that brings the members to you closer. And when you get that appreciation and acknowledgement of your efforts, you know, it wires the mind to do it, you know, even more better.
So a lot of people have the apprehension of the first time they are scared to post on that Facebook group, though it's a private Facebook group. Did you have the same thing?
I did, though I am an extrovert, but Facebook, I am like, even my own account, I hardly post anything. I, I mean, I wasn't comfortable doing it, but then seeing the community, the way people were doing, I said, okay, why not, you know? And it was so good. It was calming. It makes you accountable, feels you good when people come to you, you know, back in the comment section. It's a different feel altogether. And since it's a safe space that Dee has created for us, no outsider are there. So no judging would be there. So you become, you know, cool, calm, and accountable, you know.
Fantastic. So these workouts that we have, they are a combination of cardio aerobics. So were you exposed to aerobics for the first time?
I had done some sessions from some online, uh, uh, I mean, sessions earlier as well, but doing it at a stretch and, uh, with such energy and changes, that was the first time for me, definitely.
And you started liking it?
Absolutely. You know, doing it on Bollywood things, I mean, my family would be, you know, what is she doing, you know, dressed up at 7 in the morning, you know? And that quirkiness and that excitement, uh, that just completely blew me away.
And do you still attend the live sessions?
Yeah, I do.
Fantastic. And we have a huge library of the recordings of the live sessions. Do you also use that?
Absolutely, Bhi. On the day, uh, on the days that we do not have the live workouts either I would go to the recordings, or now we have access to a magnanimous thing called D-Life app. So I logged into that, and I mean, it's so wonderful. You have to then stop yourself. Sometimes I'm so geared up, I feel like doing 2, 3, you know, at a stretch, but that is not to be done. So one has to stop oneself. It is such a beautiful amalgamation. You have to think, what should I pick up, you know, today? It is so exciting, and once you go into it, you can't stop.
And the D-Live app is also more geared up to a lot of toning exercises. So I've noticed with some of our Quantum members that those who are not doing a lot of the workouts from the Teachable, when they are doing the, uh, D-Live app, the calorie burn has gone up. Do you also experience the calorie burn going up when you're doing the body conditioning exercises?
I mean, that is a confession that I have to make from my side. Cardio aerobics was something that I used to let Like when it used to come to strength, I would be like, no, I don't want to do that. You know, it changed after coming to DFC and more so seeing the Dlife app. Even with a small amount of time dedicated to a workout, the intensity is such good. You know, the calorie burn is so high, you really feel the burn. You know, in a small time you achieve more. So I mean, I love the intensity and what it does for you.
Fantastic. So a lot of people, when a lot of other weight loss programs focus a lot on diets, while you're at the Dynaz Fitness community, I just say that just control your portion, you know, stay away from a few things. Did you follow that, or did you go through intermittent fasting and other kinds of diets?
Thankfully, this was a happy part because we were never put on a calorie counting, uh, you know, regime, which was quite liberating. I, of course, was always the proponent of eating, uh, what your culture nature tells you to, but not restricting the diet, letting yourself go and be your own judge, you know, and track whatever you are eating so that you have the perfect balance of the protein, fat, and carbohydrate is something which worked for me. And it does program your mind, you know, so that now what is on my table should not always be on my plate as well if the other family members are eating. So it has kind of worked the mind, you know, wired it to, you know, control what is going on my plate.
Nice, nice. And when you moved to Diamond membership, how do you think that the Diamond membership transformed you in your journey or helped you in your journey?
Diamond is like a diamond necklace. As they say, diamonds are forever, you know. So why does it glitter so much, you know, the dazzle of it? Because of its components. The way each and every module, I would call it as a, you know, sparkling diamond in itself. Whether it is removing your toxic beliefs, whether it is Power Your Mind, whether it is good recipes, or those lovely, you know, Step, Bosu, and other workouts, each one would teach you a different life skill, so as to say, you know. That is what I can say. It calms your mind. I was into meditations earlier as well, as I am an Art of Living follower, but it used to happen off and on, and I had never done meditations which, you know, tethered you to the idea of food and your body. So doing that 21-day meditation calmed me down. It made me, you know, full of more gratitude for my body, myself, the food, and the whole process. It kind of, you know, reworked the mind in a way that something changed from the inside, as you tell us, you know. And we tend to become our own coach, and that helped a lot.
Yes, fantastic. And now you have that sense of aura, the sense of calmness And anytime you have a challenge, you would be able to face that challenge. Am I right?
It is, absolutely. Your monthly or weekly challenges trigger something in us that we are able now to ascertain what is going wrong, and we are able to step back from it and then condition our response.
Fantastic. So as we come close to the end of this, I must say that Your journey has been really inspiring, and every time you come to the Mastermind and you share and you encourage our members, that really helps me that there are people who also care for other members. And that means a lot to me because this community does not belong to me, it belongs to all of you. The Veer Facebook group is not mine, it's all yours. And I want you to keep taking care of that Facebook group and helping others. You know, one day where you were, there are a whole lot of people in that space with a lot of, uh, who are a lot of, who are very overweight, uncomfortable, low in confidence levels, and are wondering whether somebody else is judging us. So keep an eye open for that. And I'd love for you to share, uh, something for our viewers.
Uh, well, uh, What can I say besides, you know, surrender to the Master, follow the system, engage with the community, and be seeped in appreciation of others. Come to Facebook, you know, acknowledge others. Yeah, in gratitude. And do not forget charity. Calms you. It works. These methods work, people. Go for it. It's the most beautiful and space, uh, you know, safest space to be ever in.
Fantastic. Thank you so much, Vanashree. Thank you so much to each and every one of you for watching this video. Do like and do subscribe and do share. And if you are one who's not part of the DFC community and you really want to get your journey started, I have a 5-day camp which I have planned for you.
