Hey folks, welcome back. When you're on your journey of losing weight, when you're on a journey to get fit, get healthy, get your immunity system up, you start off with a big bang and you feel that you, you're absolutely on track. And everything is going on well until one fine day something suddenly happens and you get busy, or there is an event and you get busy and you're not able to continue. You have to pause. And when you pause and you start again, you want to start again, it takes a long time. Have you ever gone through something like that? That, you know, You're on that journey, you're doing really well, and now suddenly there's a pause, and then your motivation levels— boom, they've just gone down. This is what I call as hurdles in your journey towards weight loss. This is what I call hurdles in your journey towards your workouts, towards eating healthy, towards your mind. Remember, when you're on this journey, it's never ever going to be smooth. You will be— you will be facing some hurdles. It's about how you handle those hurdles and how you jump back and stay on track. I want you to know that you cannot avoid these hurdles. Hurdles are going to come in your life, in my life, in all our lives, because that's how life is. And when it comes to exercise, eating healthy, mind programming, all this is last on your priority. Always first on your priority is making money or running after something, which actually should not be the case because the moment you have good health, everything falls in place. So when you have a setback in your journey towards weight loss, when you have your— have a setback in your journey towards a healthy lifestyle, you have to recognize that setback. First and foremost, the most important thing is you've got to recognize the setback. So what are some of the, some of the hurdles that you could face? An event could come by, you could get busy at work, children's exams, or there's a party, series of weddings in the house, and you've got to let go. Or there's been, God forbid, a death, death, death, a death in the family, and that kind of takes you into setback. Some of you are constantly running after calories. And that's a hurdle. Some of you are very guilty all the time, and that's a hurdle. Some of you also eliminate a lot of diets. I won't eat carbs, I'll give it up to God. Don't, don't bring your God in the middle. Keep your religion and your spirituality to the side. This is your body. This is only your temple. So focus on your body. Stop eliminating foods like rice. I'll give up rice, I'll give up rotis, I never eat rice. Don't do that because ultimately that will come back as a hurdle for you. A lot of you have no control on your portion size. One day you eat a lot and then the next day you go and eat nothing, and then again it's a lot and then you cut it down. That won't work. You have to be consistent. And the biggest problem is you have an all-or-nothing attitude. You'll go out and do it all. You'll eat healthy, you'll work out every day, you'll do meditation, you'll do all that it takes to program your mind. And then when you have a setback like a wedding or a birthday or some celebration or anything, anything, you're traveling, it's an all-or-nothing attitude. Now you don't do anything, and that's what is the problem here. The all-or-nothing attitude is the problem here. All sorts of hurdles will come. It's how you fight those hurdles is important. So what are some of the tips? Most important is number 1, talk to people around you. Hey, you know what? I'm on this journey. I need your help. I need your support. If you don't have people that you can talk to, if the people around you, your friends or your family members or your relatives are not understanding your journey, they feel that no, you're just obsessed. If they're not understanding your journey, then be part of a group of like-minded people which are going to help you. Because then when you have a setback and when you post it in the group like that, that makes a lot of sense because 100 other people from the group will say, hey, listen, you know what, you've had a setback, it's okay, let's restart, let's start from the very beginning, like that, okay. Number 2, get creative with your workouts. Sometimes we do the same boring walk every day, and then one fine day it hits you and you tell yourself, I don't want to walk, I've had enough, enough is enough. Don't do that. Get creative. One day go do an intermittent, do an interval workout. One day do integrated workout. One day do functional training. One day do body toning, one day do a yoga class, one day do a Zumba class, one day do an aerobic session. Be creative with your workouts. Number 3: Sleep. You need to sleep really for 7 to 8 hours for you to feel fresh every day. The moment you have a good night's sleep, you'll have clarity of your thoughts. When you have clarity in your thoughts, when you face a hurdle, you'll be able to overcome the hurdle. Number 4, 80% of our body is made of water, so hydrate yourself. When your body is hydrated, you start looking fresh. So when you look at yourself in the mirror, you start feeling fresh, you start feeling good, and then just go out and drink lots of water. It will help you in getting clarity in your thought processes. And fifth point, most important, is if you can't do it yourself, go get a coach. A coach will be able to plan your life better. A coach will be able to guide you step by step. In a way that you will have clarity. A coach will be able to hold your hand when you have a hurdle. A coach will be able to overcome, help you to overcome your hurdle. And sixth and most important is plan your life. Plan every bit of your life from the time you wake up. Plan your day. Plan your week, plan your month, plan every bit of what you are planning to do. This will help you in overcoming your hurdles better. So I'd like to let you know that you cannot avoid these hurdles that come your way. You have to overcome these hurdles, stand up tall, At that time, overcome these hurdles and get back to track. Remember what your vision is for yourself— a healthy body, a healthy mind, a fit body, a fit mind. And remember what is your why. Every time you face a hurdle, ask yourself why are you on this journey. And if your why is strong enough, You'll be able to overcome all these hurdles easily and effectively. Hope you enjoyed this session. I look forward to seeing you in the next one. Thank you and bye-bye.
