Have you got polycystic ovary syndrome? Are you struggling to lose weight? Are you worried that with PCOS you are not going to be able to lose weight? Hi, my name is Deenaz, and in this video I I will be busting a lot of myths and misconceptions about weight loss and PCOS. A lot of young girls have come to me in the past and said that they have PCOD and that, that because of PCOD they are actually, they have gained that weight and that they have problems with their periods. The periods are not regular and the body is becoming bloated and it just doesn't feel right. A lot of you are under the impression that you are not losing weight because you have PCOD. Well, I want you to know that I'm not a doctor, but through the years of experience, PCOD is nothing but a lifestyle problem. You get PCOD because of the kind of lifestyle that you lead. That lifestyle creates, leads to excess body weight, and in turn is linked with PCOD. So it's really and truly a vicious cycle. Well, if you're under the impression that if you have PCOD you can't lose weight, that is a mind programming that you have. It's nothing to do with PCOD. Even if you have PCOD, even if you have polycystic ovary syndrome, you will be able to lose weight. I can assure you that. There are a few things, there are a few tips that I'd like to share in this video where I will be talking to you about what are the things that you need to do to help you to lose weight. First and foremost, understand and recognize that it's your mind that is telling you not to lose weight, that you're not losing weight because you have PCOD. You need to break that from your mind completely. You need to start believing in the fact that if you made the right lifestyle changes, the right exercise changes, and the right diet changes, whatever it is that you have— PCOD, BCOD, whatever it is that you have— you will be able to lose that weight. So first and foremost, get it out of your mind and start believing that even if you have PCOD, you will be able to lose weight. Secondly, whatever the doctors recommend in terms of medication is something that you need to continue. That cannot be substituted with a lifestyle change or an exercise change. But however, when you have PCOD and you make drastic— when I say drastic, drastic lifestyle changes that will activate your weight loss hormones and you will be able to weight— lose weight. It will activate your hormones in the body. So first thing that you need to do if you have PCOD is you need to do very, very, very, very, very, very, very vigorous activities. By vigorous I mean you need to be either doing a very vigorous dance aerobics workout or go to the treadmill in a gym and run, or go outdoors and do some really fast running, or play a sport that involves you to move your body vigorously. When you move your body vigorously, it will help you to burn fat at a faster rate because your metabolic rate is a little slow because your hormones are playing up. But when you start doing very vigorous activity your metabolism will go up and you will go into that fat burning zone. The second and the only other thing that you really need to take care is to eat the right foods. When you start eating whole grains and fruits and vegetables, and in every video of mine I keep asking you to do it, whether you do it or not, I do not know, but I cannot emphasize on the fact that Your weight gain is not linked with your PCOD. Your weight gain is because of your lifestyle. Because of your lifestyle, you've got PCOD, and because of that, you feel that you are not able to lose weight. So nothing of that is linked. The moment you make very, very vigorous changes, drastic changes in your lifestyle, because PCOD, PCOS is a lifestyle disease. It's not really a disease, it's a lifestyle issue. It's an issue where your hormones are not functioning optimally, and that's why you're gaining the weight, and that's why you are not getting your periods on time. And if you have observed, and if you start listening to what I'm telling you to do, and you actually start doing these things, that will help you to get your periods regularly. The moment you start getting your periods regularly, you will also start losing weight. Very fast. So I want all of you to first and foremost change your belief systems that weight gain because of PCOD, you have gained that weight. It's not true. Because of your lifestyle, you've got PCOD, and in order to rectify the whole thing, you need to make lifestyle changes rather than anything else. So believe in what I'm telling you, start following these tips, and especially young girls out there who are struggling with their weight because of PCOD, You need to only do one thing. What's that one thing? Reprogram your mind. Reprogram your belief systems that yes, even though you have PCOD, you can lose weight. And it's as simple as that. I really and truly hope you enjoyed this video as much as I did. Do subscribe to my channel, share my videos, comment on them, and like them, because I want you to get healthy. Thank you.
